Since Obamacare has gotten so much press, I have preemptively decided to obtain health care coverage independently of my employer. Recently my asthma has got out of control, and I was looking for insurance that would not dramatically increase my rates due to this preexisting condition. Univera has an asthma indicator that allowed me to see what my rate would be had I selected that and if I did not claim to have it. This had no effect on my rate! Since I've had to go to the doctor a lot lately, it was very important to me that this did not dramatically factor into my monthly rate. No other health insurance company has matched this before – it always goes way up. I appreciate this and can recommend them to anyone with a similar condition. Give them a try. You might see that your insurance is still relatively inexpensive. Their customer service is very helpful also!
