Hippo Insurance

Worst insurance ever. I never got a call back and two months later I still have all the problems and bills. I could have sworn that was what insurance was for. Hmmm

Hail damage to my roof. Adjuster reviewed the claim.. Claims department was solid and took care of the issue. Very friendly and polite.

This was my first experience with Hippo. It was handled professionally and the apartment issues have ben fixed. Fairly happy with the results. They were nice and pleasant to work with

First impressions are everything and the first impression of this company was very poor. They wait until the last minute to communicate with you and then kept adding on inspections that were not needed and expected them to be done in four days at an extra cost to the customer. I would never recommend them. In this instance less expensive insurance is not better. They make the simplest things extremely difficult such as logging in. Save your time and shop elsewhere.

Had roof damage from a storm. Claim process took a while but reimbursed for damages. Recommend for storms or crazy weather like climate change

Better coverage than Farmers. Less annoying with customer service. Ain’t perfect but better than my average. They did cover my apartment damages

Policies aren’t so cheap but customer service is better than average. Recommend if you have the budget. Phone service is less annoying than most.

We got hippo for a house we just bought. Three weeks after living there they inform us that they are dropping our coverage because they discovered things in our underwriting that they cannot insure. How can you insure us for the first three weeks and then suddenly find something wrong and drop us and then only give 5 days until you cancel our policy? Terrible company, would not recommend to literally anybody.

WORST Insurance Company I have worked with. Yes they are cheaper than the rest but that is all that is good. The dropped me for what they called a home business. My home address was simply a mailing address for a previous business I owned and even after I offered to provide them with the contract of sale for that business they still dropped us at our Lake Home. I am now with an insurance company I have worked with for years. I can only imagine what it would have been like if we would have had to file a claim. Most likely a nightmare. I would never recommend Hippo. Cheap is what they are. You obviously get what you pay for.

Nothing but great customer service. They took the time to break everything down for me so I could see what was the best option for us. Very easy to communicate with and they help fast. Super thankful with the company highly recommend!
