I wish I would have paid attention to the reviews. I have had multiple insurance companies and have never needed to make a claim until recently in the 20 years I’ve owned a home. I’m going through the process now of replacing a leaking roof, which they’re fighting and I’ve obtained a lawyer. The lawyer said this is normal for frontline in his dealings with them. My neighbor down the road made a similar claim on their roof with a different, well named insurance company, and they already have a new roof. I will not short change myself or my family in the future by trying to save a few bucks. Why have insurance if you’re not really going to pay frontline? Very sad!

If you live in another area from the covered property, be ready, Frontline has a number of hoops for a new policy that we were not able to accomplish. First, no one let us know to look out for a message that an on-line self inspection was to be accomplished within 2 weeks. We just happened to look and read a message that was several days old stating we had not completed. The company requires an APP for uploading images by smart phones. We started the questionnaire and ended up making a four hour one way trip three times to get photos, and then finally were able to get our tenant to send us several cloud loaded images that had to be retaken to address the item requested: specific labels, pipes, connections, in each room and images from special angles inside and outside. Our four bedroom, two and a half bath ranch house proved complicated during this process. It would have been very helpful if a simple one page instruction sheet was available very clear and easy before starting the questionnaire via the phone and better yet, a computer.
Due to complexity, we asked via an online link for permission to go over the 2 week window, but received no known response. We called a number but could not get through. We left a message asking the same with our agent, hoping they could reach out to Frontline.
We worked very hard to complete the self inspection at our own expense and then received a message that the company needed to get inside the house for another inspection. We are older and not in the best of health, and had to travel out of state 12 hours from the house. We asked if a date could be set 3 weeks later when we returned, and were told no. We spoke with our agent who helped relay messages and set a week when we returned. The inspector never responded to our request to give us a date for our available week. Instead the inspector told the agent we never made contact.
We followed up with our agent to help with communication. They did not understand why our original on-line self inspection did not satisfy the company need.
A second agent also said that Frontline quarterly (four payments per year) timeline was in September, November, January, and March. This made no timeline sense; normally quarters would be September, December, March, and June. We do not understand why quarterly full payment would be due in March.
Frontline appears to be liked by agents. But based on on-line uploading issues, inspector issues, and payment timing issues, we moved to a different company. In short it was very frustrating.

Awful. Just awful. We just purchased a condo in the beginning of July and bought flood and homeowners. I elected to pay upfront for the year. Not only did they screw up our mailing address, but somehow my payment went to flood but not homeowners. I never received an email saying there was a problem - and neither did my insurance broker. So, I just lived my daily life thinking everything was fine. Then they just cancelled my policy. So, now I have a lapse in insurance and frankly, I'm screwed. They gave no indication that there was an issue and just let it turn into a huge mess for me. No call. No email. No text. Nothing. Why trust an insurance carrier who would do that to you?!!

This company literally stole thousands of dollars from me, as I was paying for an insurance policy I never had the legal ability to make a claim on, and now are refusing to refund. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.

WARNING! DOES NOT PAY CLAIMS! It has been over a year of trying to file a claim with Frontline after extensive hurricane damage. We've dealt with public adjustors, lawyers, and depositions and they still refuse to cover even the roof -- which has been tarped for the entire year!
