Very unprofessional company it took 3 weeks before claims representative came out to take pictures and measurements on the garage.another week went by call he said he was getting ready to wrap things up to send into pioneer insurance,I had asked if I could go ahead and clean up he responded yes it is good to go..another week goes by and I get another call from another claims representative saying is my adjuster and that he would need to come to take pictures of the garage after that has already been done..it is now going on 2 1/2 months still nothing..called adjuster 2 times still no response..the article in the garage they want to pretty much give me half of what it would to replace..but now they want to send the money to replace the garage to the city explain to me why the want to send it to the city??..this company is a big rip off and they are crooks..do not go with pioneer insurance they will be reported from looking at all the reviews there are lots of people in the same vote..

A scam company. Cheated people i know out of simple ligitimate claims that any reputable company would pay. Cheap for a reason. They will find reasons not pay on claims. Go with better national company like AAA, etc. (avoid Allstate).

I've had Pioneer for more than 2 years and I've never had an issue with them. My mortgage company was giving me trouble over billing to my insurance company and the woman that helped me in Pioneer's billing department was helpful. Easy to work with, good pricing, nice employees. Overall good Michigan company.

I have been a member for many years with Pioneer. We had a house fire, and came to learn the hard way that we did not know what was in our policy. Our house is over 100yrs old, and the fire was caused by the electrical in this old house. We found out that our policy did not cover code upgrades. Now code upgrades in a old house in the majority of the home if things have never been updated. Your electric, plumbing, possible entry way, possible windows, possible stairways and the list can go on and on. Not knowing this has cost us a lot of out of pocket cost. Our agent never mentioned these things to us and of course we did not know to ask. I advise you all, make sure your policy covers code upgrades.
