The Holland America loyalty program works by offering you discounts and complementary dinners when you cruise and for each purchase you make onboard.

There are 5 different Holland America loyalty levels, from Star Mariner to 5-star Mariner, each with its own requirements and benefits.

Holland America Loyalty Levels

Star Mariner

Requirements: 1 completed cruise.

Benefits: welcome onboard lunch, special collectible gift, brunch with complimentary sparkling wine, subscription to Mariner magazine, special offers and a 50% cruise fare discount on kids and extra guests staying in your stateroom on select sailings.

2-Star Mariner

Requirements: 30 cruise days.

Benefits: All Star Mariner benefits plus complimentary photo of the ship, a 10% discount on select Holland America Line logo clothing sold onboard, a 15% discount on merchandise from shophollandamerica.com, an annual cruise planner and a special recognition lapel pin.

3-Star Mariner

Requirements: 75 cruise days.

Benefits: All 2-Star Mariner benefits plus a 25% discount on specialty restaurant surcharges and on specialty coffees in all dining venues, Sommelier suites packages, and all mini-bar purchases, Mariner welcome onboard reception, discounts on select treatments from the Greenhouse Spa & Salon and advance information on new itineraries.

4-Star Mariner

Requirements: 200 cruise days.

Benefits: All 3-Star Mariner benefits plus complimentary cruise fare on kids and extra guests staying in your stateroom on select sailings, a 50% discount on specialty restaurant surcharges and specialty coffees in all dining venues, Sommelier Suites packages, and all mini-bar purchases, complimentary laundry and pressing services, priority tender and check-in, a complimentary wine tasting, a 15% discount on select Holland America Line logo clothing sold onboard shops, a complimentary one-year subscription to Travel + Leisure or Food & Wine magazine and 25% discount off $49 per person surcharge in Rudi's Sel De Mer.

5-Star Mariner

Requirements: 500 cruise days.

Benefits: All 4-Star Mariner benefits plus up to $30 credit toward any internet package, two complimentary dinners in the Pinnacle Grill, Tamarind or Canaletto and 1 complimentary day pass per cruise to the Greenhouse Spa & Salon.

Holland America Line Credit Card points are worth 1 cent each, on average. That means 10,000 Holland America Line Rewards Credit Card points have a value of roughly $100. Holland America Line Rewards Credit Card points are more valuable than the average cruise points, which are worth almost 0.98 cents each.
