The Kaiku Prepaid Visa is a pretty standard prepaid card. Obtaining the card is quick and easy. There is a monthly fee of $3 which is typical, but if you deposit $750+/month into the account, that fee is waived. One awesome benefit for this card is that there are lots of ATMs that you can use with no charge. There are multiple ways to deposit money. Card comes in several color choices, so that's fun. I haven't had to deal with customer service yet, so I can't speak directly on that matter. So far, no complaints!
I've been using the AmEx Bluebird Prepaid Card for about a year. I got it primarily to use for transferring some money I make from working online, but since getting it, I find that I use it for so much more! Transferring money via my Bluebird is so fast and easy. Transfers go through within minutes. My deposits are handled smoothly and quickly. I use their app to find compatible ATMs, so there's no fee for withdrawals, but on the few occasions that I've not been able to locate one, the fee is comparable to my regular bank account.
I have had an account with Bank of the Ozarks for many years and could not be happier with them. It was super easy to create an account with them. The employees at my local branch are always friendly and helpful. They’re able to answer any and all of my questions. There are no monthly fees and no charges to use my debit card. Their online access is awesome too. I can log in any time to check my balance and see what transactions have gone through and what has not. They even have text capabilities so I can get notifications about my account on my phone. I continue to keep my business with this establishment, even when I have moved out of the area. They’re irreplaceable!
I love my Chase Sapphire Preferred Card. It has lots of benefits and perks, which is why I use it more than any other credit card. The rewards program with this card is awesome! After you open your account and spend $3000, you will earn 40,000 bonus points immediately. I do quite a bit of traveling and this credit card gives me double points on travel and restaurants. I also get 20% off on airfare, car rentals, and hotel stays. There's no foreign transaction fee with this card, so it's great to use it when you travel outside of the United States. The annual fee is kind of on the high side, at $95, which is the only reason I didn't give it five stars... but the earned rewards more than make up for that. I'd recommend this card to anyone!
The annual percentage rate of 24.99% is pretty steep compared to other “user reward” type cards. (For example, the Kroger Rewards Visa APR is 13.99% - 23.99%). If you shop a lot at Loft stores, this may be worth it to you. You get an awesome 15% off of your first purchase with your Ann Taylor Loft Mastercard, and then you get 5 Loft Love Reward Points for every dollar you spend in Loft stores! Combine that with the 10% discount at Loft and Loft.com stores on the first Tuesday of every month, and that’s some serious savings! Don’t forget the Royal Treatment on your birthday. $15 off one in store purchase during your birthday month!
The Chase Liquid Prepaid Card is one of the best of the prepaid cards I've checked into. The monthly fee of $4.95 is lower than most, and there is no transaction fee! Only a $2 ATM fee, and that's only for NON Chase ATMs. Chase ATMs are free also! And no activation fee is amazing! The Rushcard has a $14.95 fee just for activating, and then $9.95 for monthly fees, and $1 for each PIN transaction. That's hardly worth the "cute designs" you can get from Rushcards (And some of those cute designs are an additional $14.95. Yikes!). I'll take the standard blue Chase Liquid Card with the Chase name and Chase reliability ANY day.
