Moneylion did not accurately portray a promotion. I followed all of the outlined rules. Now they are refusing to up-hold their end of the promotion because I didn't follow some mechanics that aren't explained anywhere in the app. I have 13$ for 2 weeks for gas & groceries. They do not care if that without the promotion I will not be able to afford food. Maria C is now lying to me about not having a supervisor. Extremely unprofessional & no trustworthy. Would not give them a cent.

Haven’t used this account since December 2018. Someone had suggested this card, but I found out that this was not a good card for me and my budget.

I’ve been with Moneyliom for a while now and at first I was very pleased until this past month. First they increased my Instacash over $1000+, then one day it said that eligibility was $195, I was livid. If I make on time payments then I should respectfully receive that money back. Nope I didn’t they took over $1100 of my paycheck with no concerns of how I would live until I received my next paycheck. No one will help, everyone has different explanations, first it’s a system glitch to promotion expiring, really don’t know which lie to tell. Second, they’ve decided to block the merchant AFTERPAY, and if anyone knows, you have to keep the card on file you used at the time of purchase with this company to stay current on payments. How can you make that decision to halt payments with them and not inform your customers. I think this company is going to h3/! In a hand basket and they’re about to lose a member. Then after you send a bad review they want you to contact them, “for what”. You couldn’t help me when I desperately needed you, but now you’re being called out you want to help. I’ve already contacted the better business bureau about these scammers!

I was so excited about starting my moneylion account after hearing such good things. I went to start an account and received an error message. Called CS was told it as resolved went back on gor same error message. Called back was told the policy that you can only link your s.s.n. once to moneylion and they would no longer be able to offer me their services. For a co.pany to just not help and cut me off so easily I was highly disappointed. It is unfair and almost insulting how easily I became a number and not a person and could be thrown away that I was left to feel attacked personally because I have been a victim of identify theft a epidemic in this country and the Moneylion answer dump the customer. I will never be able to recommend this company and if you come from identity thief or a bad credit background beware they have below par CS and have no couth about how they treat you.

0 stars is what I want to give. Moneylion is nothing but a scam! They've now taken, without authorization, $1500 from me. It's been 2 weeks of absolute bs from them. They've given me the run around, kept telling me they didn't take it, then said they need to conduct an investigation. MONEYLION IS A SCAM!! They claim they want to help you and really all they want is to screw you over and keep your money!

My experience started off okay with just using cash advances, but quick went down hill when I got a credit builder loan with them, many payments would take days or weeks to process, there would be glitches and I would get notifications of payments even though they never went through, and when I eventually just paid my loan in full because it was so frustrating, I’ve been waiting weeks for my reserved funds that they refuse to send me. Don’t recommend unless it’s a last option.

It took me over 4hrs to reach someone on the phone call just to get lied to. I was approved for credit builder loan "funds given with in minutes " it said to find out I have to pre pay the loan over a year .I'm perfectly capable of saving my own money and being able to use it when I need it. Money Lion needs to make the wording of this more clearly I feel like I was scammed. But thankfully after hours of waiting and a rude hard to understand agent it was canceled I'm having my papper work reviewed to see if any action needs done in the future. Customers beware watch what you do

All they do is lie all day long! Never help customers!
No, MoneyLion doesn't currently issue any credit cards. But it does offer a credit builder program that lets you loan money and also helps you work on your credit score.
However, if you're interested in applying for a real card, check out our editor's latest picks for the best credit cards on the market. Whether you're looking for a card with a good 0% APR offer, one offering rewards, or one for people without a credit history, you can certainly find one for your exact needs.
It actually is a bank. It's associated with Lincoln Savings Bank.
It's a sister project of theirs that offer ways of credit improvement to those that may need help building their credit. They offer a debit card that acts similar to many out there for example : chime, Varo or Walmart MoneyCard and etc. Chime is associated with Sutton bank I think and Walmart MoneyCard is associated with Green Dot Bank and another bank like Stash Investment is on the Green Dot Bank platform. Maybe the proper answer is that it's managed by an actual bank. It might be a good idea to look into something called the FDIC. Which is a federal back insurance provided with most banks if the worst was to happen, usually up to a certain amount per account example 200,000. Are these bank products backed by the FDIC should be the question since MoneyLion is similar to Stash Investments and Acorns. These unique banking products love to get everyone involved in investments which are not backed because they can lose value. Playing with the stock market can be risky. Maybe the brokerage firms found a way for the poor man to be able to invest his money? I don't know for sure but once upon a time ago in history, banks used to make most of their money from the wealthy until they realized the potential of making more from the common people. These banking products do have a bank behind them but do your homework before setting up your direct deposits into their sounds good to be true debit cards. I just looked this up and the debit card offered by MoneyLion is backed by Meta Bank which is FDIC insured. Evidently the major banks have teamed up with brokerage firms to help them into drumming more business up. You don't have to participate in the investment accounts even though they would love for you to do so. Here's what I found: Yes! RoarMoneySM accounts are insured up to the standard maximum deposit insurance amount of $250,000 through our partner bank MetaBank®, N.A., Member FDIC. (https://moneylion.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042559031-Is-RoarMoney-FDIC-insured-)
There is no minimum credit score needed for a MoneyLion loan. That's because MoneyLion does not do a credit creck at all, which means even people with bad credit or no credit can qualify. However, there may be more worthwhile alternative lenders for you to consider.
MoneyLion posts direct deposits as soon as they are received. The exact timing depends on when your employer initiates the payment to your account. Deposits can post any time Monday to Friday throughout the day, with the exception of federal and bank holidays.
When you open a RoarMoney demand deposit account, you will receive your virtual debit card immediately within the MoneyLion app. This means you can begin shopping online, and you can connect your virtual card to Google Pay and Apple Pay immediately for tap to pay transactions. If you would like to order a physical debit card, you may do so within the MoneyLion app. You will then receive a MoneyLion Debit Mastercard®, issued by MetaBank, National Association, Member FDIC.
