Monterey Financial has a lot of fine print in their lease agreement you pay a reasonable note and mine was for two years and then claimed I had a balance that was debt to purchase my gun after two year lease that already required paying more than double of what the gun was worth to begin with I paid over $2000 dollars for a gun that would be valued at around $900 be Leary and read agreement closely remember the agreement is a lease not a purchase

Terrible company, wouldn't recommend to anyone. Financed a IWI tavor 7 from classic arms through them. Somehow, my account balance was over four thousand dollars on an $1,800 rifle. They still call me weekly leaving automated voicemails.

Set up automatic payments i swear they never process them and i have to pay an additional fee on top of my monthly payment. This happens every month now! Avoid!! There a fee to pay your bill, there a fee to change your billing date, there is a fee to pay over the phone, there’s a fee for everything!

They have a bad way of collecting and add over 150 dollars on late fees on $10 dollar collections. Their corrupt and their criminals. Very corrupt collection company. Their very rotton on the phone to.

Never again. I got a loan from Credova who is a partner apparently, and just tried paying it off under 90 days with Monterey financial services, the whole experience was awful, and made as difficult as possible. Credova website and app were both broken links when I hit “make payment” after putting all my info in, then I had several poor experiences with the customer service department, finally got it paid after two days of being unable to do so.

Absolutely trash!!! Don’t use under any circumstances!! Will lie on your credit report! Very unethical, I paid off the account in under the 90 day no interest and they put a extra 36.00 dollar charge on my credit report. Once I filed a dispute with the credit bureau, they changed my account from paid in full , to the status of “ charged off” causing my credit score to drop 70 points!! And when I called they played stupid like they didn’t know how that happened! And instead of fixing it, they told me to go back to the credit bureau and do another dispute!! do not use them under any circumstances they are very unethical.

They financed a Great Vacations membership in 2022 and got my bank auto-deductions messed up and took twice the amount in 2 weeks which sent my account into the negative. They rarely recognize their error and don't apologize for their mistake or the damage they have caused. Great Vacations should partner up with another company besides this one to say the least.

Predatory lender. They make things as difficult as possible to pay off your balance so that they can increase fees and overcharge you.

Beware of them attaching your digital signature to forms and documents you didn’t authorize, like signing up for 6mo no interest and at month 6 you find out it’s a lease and you still owe more that you’ve pd so you’re paying over double and then an additional fee to keep it. Never again
