Portfolio Recovery Associates

I made a payment arrangement with portfolio. They are very easy to work with and the customer service is fantastic. The only thing I don’t like is that the payments are on time but not listed that way on my credit report. Other than that, they are customer oriented to help you make your best decision possible for your budget.

This is an account that was purchased, wrong dates of original balance being reported. It was not opened on the dates they report.

I told these people I wanted a copy of the original contract with my signature they continously call all times of the day even on Sunday all kinds of different numbers

They were very rude even after dealing with my attorney, I tried to resolve the debt but they wanted to continue to hound me, they have obtained my debt illegally and don't like that we had found that out and refuse to resolve this in a professional manner.

They mass buy "charged off debt" for PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR. If you try to negotiate with them offering say 10 cents on the dollar, they refuse. They are just in it to grab as much as they can from unsuspecting victims.

My Validation agency, PANAM Consulting in the middle of a Validation procedure with this “3d party “ debt collection agency and since they “couldn’t provide” the most critical document to my Validation agency it, they resorted to this really disgusting tactic of putting this on my credit report instead.

I have no idea what they claim I owe money for the bill is more than 5 years old and in the state of Missouri the statue of limitations has expired and they are not supposed to be able to collect on a bill that is this old. It was closed in 2018 and now they have reopened it with no explanation for what the bill is for or why they have reopened it. On a closer look this payment was for capital one. I paid this bill off years ago and capital one has since issued a new card with a new credit line of $2000. I paid this bill before and I am not paying it again.

I have Told these people and coxs that I paid this bill off and went to another provider and then another provider and then they had a good deal for seniors as I went back to cox. I cannot convince these bill collectors or Cox that I have paid this bill is full and had showed them proof so if they are willing to settle with me for a lower price I will pay it again just to get them off my back.

They have not ever taken care of anything . I told them Not my account.Show me my signature. They have not ever sent out ..Their is no proof of account.

Very aggressive and refuse to identify themselves as a bill collector. They call repeatedly, even after being told NOT to, and in violation of applicable laws.
