Despite proactively calling four different times
about my car being at a junkyard in Salt Lake City
and how that relates to my being able to get my
belongings (the entirety of my belongings) out of
it, I never got the truth. Instead, I was told
that the car is or would be at the junkyard on
Thursday, July 12, 2018.
That informed me not only paying for a rental car, but also limiting the rental to being until Thursday, July 19. State Farm has refused responsibility for that even though my understanding is that I wouldn't need the car past the 19th since my understanding. That is based on what State Farm people told me in the calls, that being that State Farm people would have inspected the car in time that a total loss payout would be issued to me before the 19th, meaning that I could get a new vehicle by then and thus not need to rent.
