Really frustrating credit union. Their team simply cannot get large transactions done in a proper and timely manner. The service reps again and again offer assistance but can do literally nothing. Several times now they could not even locate the transaction that they screwed up. One of their businesses managers asked me to complain to his higher ups because he was also frustrated. Sad really. Ive been with Rivermark far too long. You can certainly do no worse than Rivermark for important financial exchanges, so keep looking for something better!

The loan officer I had did a horrible job communicating throughout the loan process. I indicated after many days and emails sent that my loan was time sensitive. The representative was very standoffish and stopped replying to me altogether. I ended up getting a cash advance on a new credit card to avoid the loan officer. I RECOMMED NOT USING ONLINE BANKING FOR LOANS AND GOING INTO A BANK DIRECTLY.

Rivermark credit union is an honest place, they've worked with me when I've had a tough spot and have always been great to work with. I value my relationship with them and look forward to working with them again on my next vehicle.
Very Good bank, treats customers good, gives you a chance to earn respect and they raise creditlines with that in mind, I started with a car loan, then a credit card 3k line 5 years later I’m at 24k
I use to love the Rivermark CU, but now it is horrible. They recently changes services within their online world which was not executed by their intent/project team very well. It seems you can never get ahold of a representative within a timely manner, over the last month and a half every time I call I have to wait at least a 30 hour to get a representative so they can explain why they change many policy in how they managed their bank, rather then properly communicating to there customers. I am looking for a new credit union now and quickly leaving this brand and shutting down all my accounts. I am very disappointed as I use to love your brand, now it is just sadly poor!!!! Shame on you Rivermark CU, your suppose to make banking easy not difficult, frustrating, and something that costs me money because you made policy changes without properly communicating to your customers!!!! I never give reviews especially bad ones, so you had to of disappointed me pretty greatly for me to take the time and provide this review. Try to stay away from this bank, you will regret how they manage your money.

My husband and I have used Rivermark's checking services for 10+ years and have been satisfied customers the entire time. The credit union staff is friendly and helpful and have gone the extra mile to help me resolve a problem that was not even their fault- we accidentally paid the electric bill twice in one month and they spent close to an hour on the phone with myself and the utility to negotiate a solution. Thanks, Rivermark!
I recently moved to Portland and Rivermark is just around the corner in the Hawthorne area. I have always been a member of Credit Unions as I don't care much for big banks. I decided on Rivermark and so far I've been very pleased. The new account process was fast and smooth and everyone there was very friendly. I haven't used them long enough to write a real detailed review but so far I'm glad I chose them over Wells Fargo or other big bank. I guess some of the bigger banks would have a few more services but all I really need is a savings and checking account with decent customer service and so far Rivermark has hit the mark.
I joined this credit union at the recommendation of my roommate, who switched over from a pretty large bank after not getting the customer service she felt she deserved. I was a little apprehensive since I am used to places that I can access over wide areas since I travel a lot but I figured what the heck. It was a breeze to apply, and it is pretty up to date on technology. I have a checking account with them. You speak with the employee via video screen and it feels very "jetsons". I love it, and will never go with a large bank again.
Ever since switching from a large bank I have been much happier with the service provided, range of products, financing options and pretty much everything. I am provided with a ton of services for free including checks, cashier's checks, and notary. Anytime I have has an issue it has been resolved incredibly fast. I would highly recommend Rivermark.
I've banked primarily with Rivermark for almost a year now, keeping both a checking and savings account with them. They offer great annual interest on their accounts compared to any regular bank I've had accounts with before - for example, I've been making more interest off of my regular savings account with Rivermark than I was making with money on a CD with US Bank in the past. Signing up was a breeze to do, and I was able to accomplish the entire process online. Their entire internet banking system is seamless and easy to use, and they also offer a smartphone/tablet app to do banking on, which also runs wonderfully. The few times I've needed to talk to a banker in person, they were more friendly and helpful than any other bank I've been to. The one negative I can think of is that they only have branches in the Portland metro area, as they are a local credit union. But even if you're out of town, their mobile banking is so accessible that it's never been a problem for me. Highly recommended!
