Absolutely, without a doubt, the WORST company I’ve ever worked with. I’ve been without my car for 4 weeks, and still no title. I’m leaving the country TOMORROW and they know damn well my situation. They denied my first payoff because I got a late payment, and on that same day, they reversed that late payment but still rejected it. My “ACH” payment is still pending on their side. I have proof I sent it, all information is correct, and they claim there’s nothing there. They also claim payoffs take only 7 days to process. 4. Weeks. And they claim that the information I have is false. DO NOT GET A LOAN WITH THIS COMPANY. THE WORST OF THE WORST.
Loan Sharks! Santander offers car loans at an astronomical rate. Please beware. Also, please note that any extra money made towards car payments will be applied to INTEREST not PRINCIPAL. Also, we paid off our car loan in advance to rid ourselves of this high interest and they tried to double charge us. Im grateful that bank account was setup only for car payments and we dont keep any additional money in there, otherwise we would've paid an additional $2600. I will never get another loan through them. If I am at a dealership that recommends this loan company, I'll walk away from the car before I use them ever again.
Got a car loan from this company years ago, all payments were made on time, eventually traded the car in and since I had much better credit and could get a better rate with a different company, I didn't go with them for the next car loan, they were so bitter about it and petty that they reported my final car payment as late on my credit report, mind you the transaction was done between the two banks to pay off the remaining balance of the car note $11,500.00 . I disputed the charge,the refuted the claim with zero evidence or reason to support their standing. Since that day I have told everyone I know in the market for a car loan to avoid their company. Leaving this review here so everyone that reads it knows to avoid them, go with a different company. Unfortunately I can't give them a failing grade on the BBB because they aren't accredited.
1 star because no stars was not an option. That said, this is without question the worst banking institution I've ever had the unfortunate experience of dealing with. For some reason they took it upon themselves to cancel my debit card today. I still have not been given any reason why they did this but due to this error on their end I have several automatic payments that will not go through and this is going to wreak havoc in my life. And even though it's their fault they have absolutely no solution to the problem and we're completely rude about it which is mind-boggling. And by the way, this is hardly the first catastrophe they've caused with respect to my accounts

I have never done business with Santander Bank, but in the last 10 months I have received three letters from Santander Bank (Boston, MA) in which they repeatedly claim they need me to attest to having an account with them. The supposed purpose of the attestation is to verify FDIC coverage. All three letters have arrived with "presorted" postmarks i.e., junk mail letters. Careful reading of the letters shows that these letters are an unscrupulous marketing ploy designed to get new customers. I will never do business with Santander Bank given their unscrupulous business practice.
