Service Finance Company

Do not lend from this company. Its a rip off company and the statements are very deceiving. They never write in the statement anywhere, how much the customer is paying in interest. I have never seen any finance company that do not mention that information. They cannot consider everyone to think out of the norm that every other lending company does.

I would give them ZERO STARS if it was allowed! My dad passed away and they would NOT tell my mom what he owed because it "isn't her debt"! After several calls to find out the payoff, they put a lien against my mom's house!! I was finally able to get the payoff information, as well as a settlement amount. My mom sent them a payment, 3 days later it cleared her bank, and a month later she get ANOTHER BILL! I called back and was told it would be another month before it will show "Paid Off"! My mother is elderly, has slight alzheimer's, and just lost her husband, and this company is treating her like this! Let me say it loud for those in the back...RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Customer service is useless. They "don't understand" why I wanted something in writing when they accepted a settlement offer. Well, now we see why! They are INCOMPETENT!

They offered low interest rates (4.99) in this crazy market to finance the water system we needed. Our mortgage rate is higher. No prepayment clause. One caveat. Unlike a standard heloc or other credit product, if you default on the loan, they get the court order to remove the item(s) from your residence to fulfill the contract. Be careful not to pay before the statement is issued each month or else the payment goes to the payoff balance and not the minimum payment due and you will still owe for the monthly payment. Because it was my very first payment, they were sweet enough to reverse that payment and apply it to the monthly amount owed in the contract.

I recommend. Nobody use service finance they go back on there word and change things when they want to. I got a call from them in November pertaing to my loan and told me I have a 3 month permotional grace period. Turns out then only.made it 2 months and I have been arguing with them for the last month about this. They like to change the rules in the middle of the game so to speak I would never recommend them to anybody not even my worst enimy

DO NOT USE THEM! They provided an extremely high interest rate -- and then rip you off when you try to add additional money each month to pay off your loan sooner. They applied $72 of the overpayment to the interest and $7 to the principal -- that is CRIMINAL! At this rate - I'll never pay off the Principal if all the money is being applied to interest. I have never heard of this with any other loan I have ever had. This company could not explain it - other than talking in circles - I'm considering taking legal action. Don't make the same mistake I did - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Terrible customer seevice when you hit a hard time in life. Unwilling to work with payment aerangement after loss of employment or income even due to medical issues. NEVER BORROW FROM THEM!

This company has no sense of urgency or empathy. My escrow company paid off my loan 09/06, but overpaid it despite that I gave them the updated loan amount. Since then I have been calling every 2 weeks to check on the status of my reimbursement check for $388+. I keep getting the runaround. I called again 10/11 and only then did the person on the line actually submit an inquiry on my behalf to see if the check has been cashed or not so that it can be reissued. They said they would call me today with a status. Despite this, I didn't get a call so when I called again, the new representative said I have to wait another 30 days before they will get a response from the bank in order to reissue the check. This is absurd. It does not take 30 days to get a status on a check. It did me no good to elevate my concerns to a Supervisor as they refused to do anything to speed up the process on my behalf. I won't ever enter into a loan with this company ever again.

Service financial took double the amount of what I owed out of my account on 9/4 ($7,100) and it's now 11/11 and i'm getting the run around as to when I will receive my refund. Nobody is willing to speak with me and even a supervisor claims to be too busy or short staffed to get on the phone with me. I have called 6 times. The first time they said i'd have to wait 30 days. The second time it was 30 business days. I have been "disconnected" and told I can email the accounting person, but they will not give me a direct phone number. They claim my check was mailed out on Oct. 4th, but I have never received it. They now are telling me they will put in another request to accounting to reissue the check and i'll have to wait up to another 30 business days.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!

We are planning to stay at this property many more years; we love Texas so we are making this our home! We love our house; it’s a safe community; we have nice neighbored; good schools; it’s a very quiet neighborhood. The schools are top notch; there is no crime. We are closed to the mall and other major highways that lead us to downtown area; airport; malls and not far from downtown Houston. But most of all our neighborhood is very safe; no crime, it has a nice atmosphere and we plan to retire here!

BEWARE this company. I would give zero stars also if I could. Signed up for financing and a month later I start being hounded by collections. They are calling multiple times a day, calling MY FAMILY members who are not on the account, etc. Confused, I call and tell them that I never even received a bill or a payment link. They told me "the account is in good standing, but the August payment is due now." I asked, "Then why was my account sent to collections if it is in good standing?" They answered, "Ma'am I'm not able to share that information, all I can do is take a payment." I asked if someone was going to send us a bill or a payment link at some point. Their answer: "Ma'am I'm not able to share that information, all I can do is take a payment." Pathetic.
