Simmons bank is an absolute joke. I’m a former Landmark bank customer. Since the switch I’ve had nothing but problems. I have a special type of account with landmark since my job helps the community. Simmons bank wants to charge me $4.95 a month because I don’t have at least $2,500 in that account at all times. When I told the teller that I didn’t want that account anymore he told me that I couldn’t switch it. Simmons sent out a booklet when they first took over the bank and that’s when I should have switched if I wanted to. IT’S MY MONEY. If I want a different account I should be able to create a different account. I’m switching banks. Simmons bank is trash.
I was recommended to this bank by an employee of the bank. I opened a CD, checking account and a personal loan which all went fine until my loan was due it’s first payment which was suppose to be automatically deducted for my checking account. The payment date passed and no payment was taken from my account. I called customer service to inquire about the payment low and behold they have no loan for me. Still not resolved. Scary!!

Since the take over of Landmark they have failed at every hurdle. Money not being transferred but just returned, website being down, more inconvenient website. I had to call their customer service to resolve an issue. I had to wait 20 minutes to speak to someone. The girl I spoke to could not have been less concerned. I appreciated having someone who cared at Landmark. Everyone has issues, but please deal with it in a human way. Simmons Bank has failed, it is as corporate, uncaring and money grabbing as so many other companies have become: A way to make money at the direct expense of customers. I will be leaving them and joining another local bank.
Probably the most incompetent customer service I’ve ever experienced. My mortgage was transferred from Southwest Bank and I’ve been trying to pay it off bit by bit. It takes weeks to transfer the payments (are Simmons keeping this interest free?) and when they finally arrive they are not applied to principal even though it states this on the payments. This means the bank simply keeps the money again interest free unless I call about each and every payment. When I asked if they could mail me a mortgage statement they said no and that the only document mailed is for overdue payments. What sort of bank is this ??
As a former Landmark Bank user and now part of Simmons, I would have to say that I am disappointed. It has been a difficult transition with me (and many others) unable to access their accounts and bill paying not going through on time as previously promised. I loved Landmark and the verdict is now out on whether Simmons can fit the same bill.
Completely incompetent customer service people. We were given totally wrong information about the terms of the credit card. We then discovered the terms were a rip-off anyway. Definitely would not recommend.
Simmons started as a low interest credit card and has kept that way. I can select a variety of warning notifications such as how close I am to the maximum.
Have had four accounts with Southwest Bank for years and never a problem. Now since the merger with Simmons it's been nothing but inconvenience after inconvenience. Freezing cards for $32 purchases? Seriously? Making purchases for thousands of dollars and freeze for a $32 purchase? That looked really good while taking a client out to lunch. Will be moving elsewhere. The call to customer service gave me no other choice due to their couldn't care less attitude and unprofessional behavior.

Easy to use app and great customer service in the branches. I’ve been banking with Simmons Bank for years and have nothing but good feedback. I also have their credit card and it’s been one of the best credit cards for years.
The Simmons Bank Visa® minimum payment is $10 or 1% of the statement balance, plus fees, past-due amounts, and interest – whichever is higher. If the statement balance is less than $10, the Simmons Bank Visa® minimum payment will be equal to the balance.
The minimum payment is the smallest amount you're obligated to pay by the due date for your Simmons Bank Visa® card account to be in good standing. Failure to pay by the due date may result in a late fee ($39 max). Your credit score will also take a hit if you miss multiple minimum payments.
