My HELOC was sold to this company about 10 years ago. When they bought it it was frozen by the previous lender because of the housing market. We are now trying to refinance and come to find out it is being reported as an open account. I tried to pay it off and close it and they won't take my money to pay it off, but they will take my monthly payment over the phone. I need to do a money transfer and jump through all their hoops to get it closed. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they will only call you back, but they don't know when that will be. Very bad customer service, stay away if you have the choice.

No reply to customer service emails so I finally got through on the phone. Out of 5 mortgage companies - this is the only one that says they cannot send me a 1098 because my properties are held in LLC. They tell me to check the December statement to show the yearly total interest but the statement date is the 4th of the month. So really I have to download the January statement and add the 1 month interest total back to the December statement to give me a rough number. They have just been lazy not issuing 1098s

HORRIBLE Customer Service!! need my 1098 because is not online. Since I paid off the account I don't have a message option online anymore. Call their customer service. When a human picks up line is broken (recordings prior were 100% fine so it's not my phone) they hang up on me... twice. Call a third time, wait for 30 minutes and call is disconnected. Call again, get a recording that they are closed, and to call back during regular business hours. This is a Monday at 9:40 AM! and its, not a holiday! Absolutely unprofessional!

My loan was sold to them last year. I am trying to refinance my home and they have me in a forbearance. So my credit report is showing no payments for 5 months. I have never been in a forbearance, when I finally was able to speak to someone he said that happens sometimes when you are in a fire zone. I don't think so ,trying to get it corrected is a joke they tell me oh it's fixed but it isn't my credit is still showing no payments made since Oct . I guess my next step is going to have to be the legal option . Horrible business I would never use them if I had a choice

I would give them a negative rating if it would let me. They are the worst. My loan was sold to them, now they are charging me an escrow each month for taxes and insurance that I already pay to my mortgage company. I have asked for them to stop for more than 6 months and they refuse. All that extra money could go to my principal but they are just holding it. So now I am paying double taxes on my house and getting money back from the state is almost impossible. If I find others that they are doing this to, then I think we could have a class action lawsuit. It is just wrong what they are doing.

They have been charging me for my insurance at the previous rate even though I change insurance and lower the premiums and ask them to stop and they refuse to do that. I paid my insurance info directly to the insurance company. We should get together and see if anything can be done class action style

HORRIBLE, exacerbating customer service. Recent loan bought out, received letter saying we were late (we weren’t). They said previous lender didn’t provide December payment. Note: they have my January payment and I was supposed to know the prior lender didn’t provide my December payment. I provided proof of payment. Now I have to call back to have them open a ticket in order to apply the prior payment. Also, said if I didn’t pay today, it was being sent to credit bureau tomorrow for late payment. I am stickler for paying on time and utilize recurring payments. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, they said it will be 3-4 DAYS before they will call me back. Beyond frustrated. There needs to be a zero star. Rating them a 1 is too high.

Terrible communication. They picked up our mortgage from another company and made no effort whatsoever to establish contact with us and walk us through how to transfer our account. I would give 0 stars for customer service if I could.

I am a title attorney. I send payoffs regularly, they sent my payoff back, incurring fees, because the check wasn't certified. It was a trust check. Those funds were certified IOLTA funds. Trying to call customer service was a nightmare. I hope I never have to use or work with them again.

I was in the home-making affordable program. At the end of the program, they will pay a stipend towards your principal of the loan. The stipend was paid. Then sls sent me a letter about recasting my monthly payment which it would be lowered. I apply for the recast and they denied me stating that the lender doesn't do recasting of monthly mortgage payment. But the letter logo is from them. I think they are biased and a horrible mortgage lender. In the near future, I will be refinancing.

Unreal! I've had no missed or late payments the entire year of 2020 in spite of not having income coming in because of Covid-19. I borrowed money from my elderly father's retirement to not be late on payments. Now my father is struggling financially so I paid half of January's mortgage and requested Covid-19 "assistance" (which is really just putting a hold on payments). SLS is now saying they are no longer offering Covid-19 assistance and have started calling me for money and sending me bills with late fees. Just disgusting!
