Things that the salesman told us when we applied for the loan for our fence, didn't happen. He said we wouldn't be charged interest the first 6 months and our loan would start after the 6 payments which would have been much lower had we not paid so much in interest!!

This company provided a quick option to have a new air conditioner installed right before summer bags in the Central Valley of Ca.

Tried applying for HELOC at CUMBERLAND branch, Atlanta GA - absolutely no response after initial exchange of couple of emails with Kyle Reed - very nice person though.

There was no formal application hence no Credit Check etc.

Nothing great but Equifax score at about 765 and Home Equity little North of 120K.

They never bothered to email / call after that. May be they were loaded with a lot of business.

5* rating because Kyle Reed treated me very well during a couple of visits - but no banking relationship yet !

They should promote such people , raise their salaries or give big bonuses if it is not being done yet.

Synovus is the worst bank ever. There system is set up to rip you off . They have cost me so much money how the have there system set up should be illegal they lie and cost you money and headaches I would not use this bank

Don't Even Rate 1 Star.......ZERO customer service! Call and wait 30-45 minutes to speak with anybody. Then they provide NO Help......

Do not get a Synovus bank account they will lie more then Joe Biden. Th employees over the phone are rude. I got my paycheck over cash app for $900 on a Friday cashed out the money showed up in my account. The. They wanna tell me the money didn’t hit my account till that Tuesday night so I used my card 36 times. From Friday till Tuesday and I’m getting hit with a $36 overdraft fee on all 36 times over $1000 in fees take your money somewhere else. Worst bank in America. Won’t help anyone.

Never ONCE have I been able to access our online account with Synovus BeB without calling Customer Service. Online or mobile. The Account ID never works, my password never works, my username never works. Not only am I a business owner, I'm treasurer for a 501 (c)(3). I do not have time nor patience after a year of dealing with this nonsense. I've been doing business banking my entire adult life, and they have just lost ours.

Synovus made getting a multiyear Russian business visa and switching states for driver's licenses feel like a walk in the park. When not being barraged by repetitive questions and document requests from utterly incompetent employees, we were being lied to, given last-minute charges and hoops to jump through, and having our closing date pushed back. Every other party involved in the process - real estate agent, title company, HOA - all remarked on how incredibly difficult they were to work with.

Absolutely Horrible! BEWARE DO NOT GET A CREDIT CARD WITH SYNOVUS. They were supposed to place me on a hardship due to COVID-19 and a payment plan while I was affected by COVID-19. Instead I was reported late to the credit bureaus and charged late fees and the highest interest rate. I would call the Credit Card department and would get the same response that a letter would be mailed out and corrections made. Synovus closed the account and I am still waiting on those letters and corrections. I am about to write a complaint to the Department of Banking and Finance and NEVER do business with this so-called financial institution again!
