Nearly 60 years ago, a group of forward-thinking employees at Fairchild Semiconductor (a pioneer in technology innovation) who knew there was a better way to bank, formed Tech CU — a credit union solely dedicated to the financial success of its members — and owned by the people it serves. Shameless Bank... They charge for Car Insurance... They don't try to reach me for the updated insurance but instead get it on thr own and charge me for it. They send at-least emails a month but never have they sent an email informing about he car insurance
Best solar plan, I highly recommend them, the quality of the product and the installation team were really professional, the account manager is the one who took care of the loan application process as well

Forgot my password so shame on me, called in and tried to reset and got a very nice representative. They asked me three questions about myself that are supposedly public knowledge. The answers that they have on me are wrong. Not sure what service they use but they are utilize wrong information for me to verify my account. Very frustrating since I just wanted to reset my password and actually pay down the solar loan. They are unable to tell which question is incorrect so they can't even help me with fixing the problem with the third party vendor. I would not use this company ever again since I can't unlock my account easily.

You're a disappointment after all these years. I had an item in dispute for OVER 7 MONTHS!! During this time you NEVER communicated unless I reached out for an update. I needed your assistance with an issue I had with a merchant not delivering goods and you favored them. I'm closing out my account after 15+ years once I found out you work for the merchant and not your customers!
Don’t let this company fool you! They got took over 4 months to install panels and started charging me from the beginning. Even though panels were not installed

This company is really pissing me off. They requested a statement from my insurance company proving the TechCU was the loan provider. My insurance company sent multiple faxes but I still received threatening letters that I did not have proper insurance coverage. Then I sent an email with proof of the insurance coverage. In the meantime, TechCU started purchasing monthly insurance coverage and charging my account. I finally received confirmation that I had the proper insurance coverage and they would correct my account. Well the threatening letters continue and they are still charging my account a monthly insurance charge!
Tech CU restricted my online access to my accounts due to conducting "too many ACH transfers" according to their "internal policy" (read: undisclosed and unknown), and would not reinstate access. There are no restrictions or limits on the number or frequency of ACH transfers noted in Tech CU's Member Handbook, and I've been with them since 2012. Do not bank with Tech CU; it's simply not worth your time or your nerves. Choose another banking provider that will regard and treat you as a customer and a human being, not a running balance and a collection of transactions.
We've been with this credit union for 7 years now (paycheck of my SO goes there and I handle her finances) and it's been smooth cruising. I can't say that we've had any outstandingly complicated problems to solve with them but standard stuff has been handled well. They offer fairly bad rates, to the point where I would say rather non-competitive, especially for a credit union, but have excellent bill payment service. They have a tiered benefit structure, defined by how much assets you have with them, that applies to such things as how many ATM fees they will reimburse and how much you will pay for wire services. The bar is set ludicrously high for most people. There are better things to do with 30,000 dollars than leaving it in your bank. Recently they've introduced check scanning software for android smart phones, but it has crashed on both my HTC and Nexus 7. Not too splendid for a 'Technology' credit union. Expect reliable, but not outstanding things from them.
