I have been working with Webster bank for many years now. I opened a savings account with them when I was in high school and I have been pleased since day one. They are very helpful when I go in there with any questions. The tellers know who I am and make my experience extremely rewarding. There are many locations near my home that I can go to when I need to do my baking. My only complaint would be when I went to college, there were no locations near me so I had to open a checking account at a separate bank near my school. Overall, I have had a great experience with Webster and would recommend them!
I was going to start a checking account at a local bank but they happened to be closed early and Webster was open, so I checked them out. They offered me the free checking account if I used my debit card over ten times a month, which isn't really an issue, I use it all the time. It would be better not to have that restriction but most banks do so I don't blame Webster. What I don't like about them is their customer service hours. I had gotten used to 24 hour access to customer service with my last bank, but at Webster, you have to wait until banking hours to talk to someone. Still, overall, not a bad bank.
Webster Bank has excellent products for checking and I've same checking account for over a decade now. On the rare occasions that I went below the minimum amount necessary in the account, they worked with me and refunded the fees. There are some bigger banks that will not work with you like that. They also have many branches and ATMS which allows easy access to withdrawing money. My only complaint about Webster is that certain branches have longer waits. Sometimes it seems that they are short staffed.
Webster Bank had bought out our old bank, so we were rather apologetically thrust into Webster. I had difficulties just getting the cash from my deposited paycheck in a timely manner (with a Credit Union, I could cash my check, deposit some and keep the rest immediately). There was then a new rule enacted that my Debit Card had to be used a certain number of times per month or I would get a charge. Well, I don't use my card a lot, I like to spend actual money, so I got penalized for that. The one and only time we ever overdrew our account we got hit with almost $425.00 in charges, mostly due to two cups of coffee and a dinner (all totaled less than $50.00). Of course they would wave nothing at all nor be understanding, even after having an account for 15 years. That was when I left for a Credit Union. All in all, I am glad I moved to a state where Webster doesn't exist.
I have had this account for around 15 years. It was set up for me when I was a child and I have carried on using it through out my young adult life. I enjoy having the ability to have many of the original benefits grandfathered in, such as refunds on all atm fees. I am a very proud member of the bank and I really enjoy having webster as my primary banking institution. I look forward to the continued relationship the to of us have.
This has been the best checking experience that we have had. My husband and I qualified for the military checking program. Most of our fees were cut down or eliminated. In our previous bank it was difficult to go directly to the bank for any transaction and we were charged many fees. Everyone that we have worked with at Webster bank has been very friendly and they are understanding of every day life with money and a family. I would recommend this bank to anyone. They also have programs that allow you and a friend to receive a gift card if they sign up as well.
A Webster Bank Student Checking account is a great option for any college student, especially those who have never opened up an account before. If you are completely new to banking, like I was, it helps to have someone there to guide you through the ins and outs of the process and the staff at Webster Bank go out of their way to do just that. Also there aren’t many hidden fees and charges to look out for, I recommend this bank highly.
I have had a savings account with webster for over 5 years now and I just cannot tell you how great the service is through this bank. I also have had cd's installed for my nephew and niece so that they will have a little extra spending money by the time they hit 18 years old. I really love webster bank and think many others will find their service as pleasant as I do.
Webster bank is a phenomenal bank that has only offered me the best possible customer service at every juncture. Any time I had issues It was always settled in a timely and professional manner. I always walked away from every situation a happy camper and I plan on staying with them as long as I can.
I've had Webster Bank for about 7 years after switching from several other banks being unsatisfied. I've never had a problem here, and they're always willing to help if something goes wrong, or even if I make an error, they're rather forgiving. I hope to be able to use them for future loans or investments when I get to those stages in my life. I have 5 accounts with them in total. I'm satisfied with checking, except it would be nice if there were no outside atm fees or if they reimburse the fees. Online banking is an ease.
