This is NOT the card for a small business. If you are late 1 day, your charge is $75.00. Bottom line. They don’t take you off paperless like your request, and you are late because of it, $75.00 and suddenly NO record that I asked to go paperless. And to avoid the issues, they will NOT allow automatic payments to be set up on this account. This card feels and acts like a SCAM. They find every way possible to charge that $75.00. I have paid more for the card than I have for actual gas. I’ve racked up nearly $400 in charges And haven’t even used the card yet!!! I can’t even speak to whatever I’m supposed to save here.

Received 3 letters that involved 3 different gas station cards, but it all came from one address and looked scammy. I was right. Good thing I search online for reviews before signing up. Why would they send 3 letters all at once?

WEX Bank sucks. They purposely receive and hold checks to charge late fees. If you pay in full with no interest they will sit on your check and call it late just to charge these ridiculous late fees of $75.00 or more. Had a Chevron business card for more than 20 years, always paid the account in full to escape interest charges, never ever late. WEX Bank took over the Chevron billing and all of a sudden, late? Charge after charge after charge. Closed the account, refuse to pay late fees. On our Maverik business account, always paid in full to escape interest charges, not good enough for WEX Bank, they will sit on the check just to get the late fees. Anybody/company looking for any fuel cards, stay away from WEX Bank as you will be caught in their pit of charges, really. Once you're in you can't get out, not worth it. Closed the Chevron account a while back and closing the Maverick account as this is written. Chevron and Maverick are both great companies, especially Chevron. Chevron/Maverick (and any other company that uses WEX Bank), find a different billing/processing company as your losing business because of WEX Bank. I will never ever use any company that bills through WEX Bank. -negative 5 stars here.

I operate a very small business and have been a customer for years with an absolute spotless payment history of more than $44,000.. Due to fraud had to close the checking account tied to WEX and I failed to make the necessary update with them prior to the payment date which caused them to immediately turn off our 9 fuel cards over one invoice of only approx. $800 on a few thousand credit line that is paid in full each month without ever an issue. However, because my payment was returned to them they refused to accept payment over the phone or online. I took ownership of the error and advised I would pay whatever fees necessary to reactivate the cards. They refused to accept any form of payment other than Western Union. Until then your cards are turned off and there is nothing we can do for you. Yes, this was a result of my failure to update the checking information, but turning my cards off left one of my teams (consisting of two females) stranded without fuel or any manner in which to pay for it. I could understand turning the cards off had I been a new client with no account history, or had we owed a large sum of money, or had they experienced previous payment issues with my account. None of the above apply. One would think when your payment had just been returned you would receive some form of notification to allow you sufficient time to properly address and rectify the situation before the account is frozen. They didn't call, text, email, or place an alert on my WEX dashboard, which is supposedly there to provide all pertinent account information. ALERT ALERT WE"RE GOING TO TURN YOUR CARDS OFF! NONE of the above methods were used to notify me of any payment issue. Instead I discovered this issue when I was made aware that one of our teams was stranded without fuel because neither of the ladies pin # would work. So I immediately call WEX and was finally able to speak with a live person who advised me at that time of the payment issue. Wow thanks for letting me know. Any of my teams could have been placed in bad situations today without fuel and there would've been no way for me to get to all of them at once. Not happy. A company I no longer choose to spend my very hard earned money with. No thanks WEX.

We are so sorry we did not read the reviews first on WEX bank because they are the absolute worst company to do business with. PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Being in business for 45 years we have to say that this is one of the worst companies and like all the other reviews they just do not care, they suspend your card and charge outrageous fees. HORRIBLE - STAY AWAY!!! No stars if what we gave them..should be negative stars as an option.

Very difficult to use. Customer service is awful. Fees for everything...even when they drop the ball....customer service link does not work consistently. All is well until there is a glitch then they are not able to resolve.
This review is for the Wex network not any card specifically---have had two different cards for two different businesses and had problems with Wex itself

I wish I could select zero stars! We got this card thinking it would help with business expenses. WRONG! First of all to get the cash back you have to use the preferred gas stations. We usually use 2 stations nearby to our business. We spend about $200 dollars day in fuel so the savings were going to be impressive right ??? NOT even though I called and spoke to a representative at WEX as was assured that the stations we use were in the program the card was not accepted at either Exxon station. They talked us into the national Fleet card- we could now use the card but would not get any of the cash back rewards offered in the ad. Next price gouging on the bill Illegal amount of interest charged calling BBB right now to report them

My company has been in business 21 years, this year, . I am responsible for the company's AP and AR. WEX is BY FAR the most infuriating, frustrating, shady, illegal, gouging, unethical biller of any of the 200 or so payments that I deal with, per month. We routinely send checks 10-12 days in advance, going from NY to TN, because we are SO paranoid that they won't process the check on time and we'll get whacked a late fee of HUNDREDS of dollars, on top of a $75.00 reactivation fee. Spoke with a young lady this morning after I sent my check out on the 15th and got a late notice on the 26th, a full 11 days later, and her only answer for this unacceptable processing time was "I can't control the mail. Do it online instead." Thanks. Really? Customer Service is HORRIBLE. That is NOT an acceptable answer because NOW, I have to go down to MY bank and put a stop-payment on my LOST check, pay a $35.00 stop payment fee to MY bank, and they were unwilling to waive the ridiculous $400 and change fee, though MY check was mailed to THEM in plenty of time. I am so livid I could scream. My techs have gotten stranded on the road with suspended cards out of the blue.

Yes, the Sunoco Gas Card will do a hard pull. You will need a credit score of at least 640 to get it, which is on par with what most gas cards require.
There is no way to pre-qualify for the Sunoco Gas Card. A hard pull usually causes an applicant's credit score to drop by 5-10 points. Most people's scores bounce back within 3-6 months with responsible credit management, but it can take up to 12 months. You can learn more about how to minimize the credit score damage here.
You can purchase Sunoco gift cards at any Sunoco station, or online at https://www.svmcards.com/sunoco-gift-cards/. To locate the nearest station, go to: https://www.sunoco.com/gas-station-locator/.
While traditional credit cards allow you to carry a balance between months, with a charge card you must pay what you owe in full each month.
But it's important to note that charge cards are credit cards too, just a bit different. Gas charge cards, for example, are mainly used by businesses operating a large number of vehicles.
