Bill Cody with NSB Bank was extremely helpful from the very beginning. My wife and I weren't first-time homebuyers, but we were new to the area and were looking to make our second home purchase. The first time we bought a home we went through a government first-time homebuyer program that took care of most of the paperwork and "chores" of buying a home for us. Those programs aren't available for second-time homebuyers, so it was fortunate we had Bill to work with. We originally contacted him when we first got to town, submitted some pre-approval paperwork, and then couldn't sell our original home. It took a full year! He kept our paperwork on hand and was able to maintain our original pre-approval offer, despite our financial situation changing considerably and our debt growing over the past year. He worked with us to find a way to finance our home at a level that we could afford, made sure the down payment was low enough, and kept us informed throughout the process. In fact, he still recognizes us when we go into the bank, and greets us by name.
