I have had a Comerica Savings account since I was 10 years old. No matter which branch I go into, the clerks are always very friendly and helpful in solving any problems I may have. They also recognized that I would make more money in annual interest by switching to a MMIA account (which I had never heard of) and that has also turned out to be a great suggestion. I also really like Comerica's mobile phone app which allows easy transfers of money within my Comerica accounts. It also allows the online check depositing, which is super convenient. Overall, I really like being a Comerica customer and can't see myself switching banks anytime soon.
I absolutely love my savings account at Comerica. I recently switched to Comerica and couldn't be happier. There is no monthly fee because I maintain a balance over 400 dollars so I avoid the small monthly $5 fee. There are no fees to withdraw or transfer over to my checking which is great. If I ever need anything or questions regarding my savings account they are always there to answer my questions. I am inquiring of opening a business savings account as well and they have been awesome with answering my questions. I have had zero problems though with my savings account and would recommend them to anybody.
I have been going to Comerica bank for quite a few years now. Their customer service has been fantastic, and I have never had any problems. I am always greeted with a smiling face. Their locations are convenient for me, and so are their hours. Everything from the consumer end is great. They only get 4/5 stars because of their rates. Their loan rates are good, but the interest on their CDs and savings account is terrible. I split my money evenly between Comerica savings and Flagstar CD, which has better rates. Overall, Comerica is a great company and I will be going to them in the future.
The Federal Regulation D limits the withdrawals from your savings account to 6 per month. When you exceed this limit the bank applies a withdrawal fee of $5 per item. Please find more details here: https://www.comerica.com/personal-finance/banking/savings/statement-savings.html#site-ftr.
It depends on the account you’re interested in. If you are inquiring about a savings account or a money market account, then you will be able to withdraw money from the account. Please note that you can only make 6 withdrawals per monthly cycle. If you are inquiring about a CD account, then you will only be able to withdraw the money when the term of the account is up.
The main difference is liquidity. A CD prevents you from accessing your money for a predetermined period of time. A Money Market allows you access to your money while saving at the same time.
