Been with Sun Trust for over 32 years, great service. It is banking with confidence, never had a problem. I plan to stay with Sun Trust. If it's not broke stay with it. Here is how you get 200 characters you all get an A+ for your fine service.
SunTrust Bank Advantage Money Market is a great place to securely hold your money. I have had a Money Market account with them for several years, and while it doesn't have an overwhelming rate of return, it does guarantee that your money will not get lost in the stock market. You can get it when you need it, while making a little bit of interest. Good stuff! You can't beat the security, when the stock market fluctuates every day, you know that your money is safe. This is where we saved our money for the down payment on our house.…read more
I love Suntrust Bank. I have two checking accounts, my wife has a checking account, and we share a savings account. The savings account acts as a bridge to my two checking accounts and my wife's checking account. It easily allows us to park money we are trying not to touch and to jointly be involved with our saving process. It can almost become like a competition between us when putting money into savings. The only real drawback is that they do charge a fee each month, but this is easily avoided by having at least $5 deposited automatically, from another account, at the start of each month. Also, there is a limit of two withdrawals a month, which in my opinion actually helps deter random withdrawals without pausing to think if it is really worth going into your savings for.…read more
I have been banking with Suntrust for several years now. I have had a fairly positive experience, overall. I like the fact that you can connect your savings account to your checking account to take a certain amount out to put into savings everything month. That is actually pretty helpful. I think I would recommend Suntrust Savings. I have never had any real issues from them. Their customer service is effective and helpful.
I had trouble accessing my checking account with Suntrust, so I went to one of their branches and inquired about the problem I was having. They told me that my card had been possibly corrupted and they were sending me a new card. The problem was that they never told me about the issue, so I was never aware that I could not use my card or that my information was possibly stolen. I ended up calling the corporate number to make a complaint about the situation, so hopefully this type of thing doesn't happen to anyone else. The branch manager was cooperative and friendly, so that was a plus.…read more
After giving birth to my son, his father and I decided that we needed to open an additional savings account just for him. I did plenty of research of them and decided that for what we were looking for, Suntrust was the best option. Because of the customer service we received when we opened up this account, I in turn closed all of my checking accounts with another bank and transferred all funds over to Suntrust. The main selling point for me with this account was that the services are free as long as I use my debit card a few times a month and I love the fact that if I do have to go into the branch, everyone is always so pleasant. I have nothing at all bad to say about Suntrust Bank!…read more
I have used SunTrust for my banking needs for a little over 5 years now and I have had a savings account for 2 years. I had a problem with my savings account when I first opened it because it wasn't collecting interest. I called their customer service line and after a long conversation I got everything straightened out.
I used to have a SunTrust savings account. I closed it because of the bad experience I had at that bank. I was not told that there was a limit to the number of times I could withdraw from that account, so I ended up with excessive fees. They would not refund any to me and I was told that I should have read the disclosures. I tried to escalate to management, but my call were not returned. Also, every time I went into the branch, they would hound me to sign up for some stupid product I didn't need.…read more
I've been a member at Suntrust for three years and had their Savings Account for one, and their service is excellent. This account has a pretty low interest rate, but it more than makes up for it with automatic transfers and low monthly fees. (It's easy to avoid the monthly fees too, which is great.) The withdrawal fee is inconvenient, but it helps me remember not to take money out of savings, which actually facilitates my saving, so I'm not complaining. The account was incredibly easy to set up too, which made it a no-brainer for me to start a savings account.…read more
Have been a member of Suntrust for the longest time now. All of the branches I have visited treat me so politely and professionally. I love my savings account because it is absolutely free as long as you are signed up for online statements and you use your account 10 times a month. That is so easy to do because I get my checks directly deposited 4 times a month and that counts.
If you are withdrawing the money from an ATM, you can only withdraw $1,000 per day. However, you can visit a SunTrust Bank branch to withdraw all the money from your savings account at once. You can find the nearest location here: https://www.suntrust.com/FindUs. Please note that your account must maintain a minimum balance of $.01 to remain open.
Unfortunately, you can’t withdraw funds from your savings account at an ATM. Please enroll in the bank’s online banking program to transfer funds here: https://onlinebanking.suntrust.com/UI/login#/enrollment.
You are allowed to make 6 free transfers per month. If you routinely exceed these transfer limitations, the bank has the right to close your account or convert it into a checking account. Please note that a $4 per transfer is charged when exceeding the 6 transfers allowed.
