This card appears to be very convenient and easy to use, particularly in the context of every day American life where one maybe too busy to stress over the fees that come with it. The only fee that one would have to consider before using this card is the $3 ATM transaction fee, which stays at a consistent price.

I absolutely love this target prepaid card.. you can reload it as much times as you want they're no interest fees or monthly fees which is also great. this card has 24/7 customer service which is very helpful in case you have any issues . overall this card is better than any other pre paid card i ever had and i would suggest it to everyone.

I like how there is no transaction fee or monthly fee. However, I do not like that there is a $3.00 ATM transaction fee. I feel that $3.00 to reload a card is a bit pricey, but I do see how without having monthly or transaction fees, it isn't as big of a deal. It is also nice to see that there is no cancelation or inactivity fee for this card. Overall, I would probably purchase this card. It is similar to the Visa Prepaid Cards my parent's have given me as a gift, however I find that this being reloadable makes it more marketable.

I actually used this card as a gift card before. It had no transaction fee to activate which is better than many prepaid cards. The added benefit was the person using it was able to use it as a prepaid card themselves, add money and even use it at ATM machines if they needed. To me, this is a better option than just buying someone the standard gift card. It's a gift card with benefits!

Target & American Express are two very reputable companies so I know I can trust this card! I like that you can reload this card at any Target because it is very convenient to be able to reload my card while I shop for groceries. My Netspend prepaid card does not have very many locations where I can reload so the American Express Prepaid Card for Target has an advantage. I don't like that the ATM and reload fees are a bit high.

The American Express prepaid card is a good way to teach older kids and especially college students how to use a credit card without ruining their credit if they mess up and spend too much. This will control their spending by giving them a limit and not allowing them to go over. However, the cost of reloading the card is $3 each time and if you use an ATM there is also an additional $3 charge. Fees can get quite expensive and are a waste of money in some instances. There are other cards available such as at Walmart or through a bank that will be cheaper and still allow parents to teach their children about the value of money and using credit cards. American Express cards are getting harder to use at some places but the businesses are having to pay a fee to American Express each time the business swipes a card so it would be more convenient to have a Visa or MasterCard instead of an American Express.

Although you can use the American Express Target Prepaid Card anywhere they take American Express, it has a major drawback for me.
Sure you can reload the card like any other prepaid card.
And it has fraud protection, Direct Deposit, no monthly fees etc.
But seriously, $3.00 to reload a card?
We have the Bluebird card from American Express and Walmart, with no reload fees and the same perks that the American Express Target Prepaid Card has.
So when choosing between Target's version and Walmart's version, it was a no-brainer.

The American Express Target Prepaid card for me would be a great service, as I do a lot of shopping at the store. Being able to use as a credit card adds to the convenience for those who do not have access to a credit card. The $3.00 ATM and refill fees seems unreasonable.

The American Express Target Prepaid Card is a great option for someone who is looking for an easy to use, flexible card where you can control the spending limit. In my opinion, the $3.00 ATM fee is a little on the high side, so if you plan on using this card to get cash out of the ATM, keep that in mind. What I really like about this card is the ease of adding funds to your card, as well as the fact that there is no activation or monthly fee. If you have someone who is new to using cards (sibling, child, niece/nephew, etc.), this would be a great option to show them how to use cards wisely.

I like to pay my bills and shop online. If I did not have a credit or debit card this would be a great back-up. There are many people who are unable to secure a checking account for various reasons and this would be a solution for them. I prefer to use a card rather than carry a lot of cash. The $3 ATM transaction fee is a lot, especially since there will be an additional fee added depending on the institution. That is the only drawback that I can see with this card. This card would make a great gift for my nieces who love to shop online. It would also be good for them when they are at the mall.
