My Truck loan is through them and I have never been late or overdrawn or anything crazy. I applied for a personal loan for 3,000 and was told I need a cosigner/guarantor, I recently had a financial set back because of a family member but credit score still 675, I never needed a cosigner with Eastman, wish I never left them. Looking for new bank. Also 0 late payments ever on my credit report.

Learned being a long time “member” with good standing account history does not matter if you need financial help fixing or consolidating and this was highly disappointing. Looking for other institutions that offer help, assistance, and support or some sort of guidance.

Do not waste your time taking out any type of loan with this institution. My husband and I had our loan payments deducted every two weeks, and most weeks the payments deducted were upwards of 800 dollars. They took a small amount and applied it to one loan and very little to another, resulting in us defaulting on our credit card even though we were told numerous times that our credit card payment was included in our biweekly payment. My car, which was on a separate loan, my husband's truck, and trailer were all repossessed due to non-payment on the credit card. To make matters worse, we are still receiving letters asking why we are no longer carrying insurance on the aforementioned vehicles. Absolutely do not waste your time.

I'm just trying to make sure my 86-year-old father's loan is up to date. I called these people to try and set up the payment on an automatic payment plan. I was told to email them a copy of my Power of Attorney (POA) so they could assist with this. The person who received the POA told me I needed to call in with my father so they could get permission from him for me to deal with his account. My father lives in Tennessee, I live in Florida. This is the first financial institution I have ever dealt with that doesn't understand what a POA is. I have wasted enough time with these individuals. They can wait until I visit my father in Tennessee before they get paid again. My father is almost blind and can no longer handle these things on his own, which is the very reason a POA was established. I make it a point to never do business with companies that conduct their business in a way that wastes my time. TVA Employees Credit Union wins the prize for inexcusable behavior. I would never consider doing business with these people. It's as if they were dropped on their head repeatedly when they were young!

I love being a part of a local Credit Union - but especially one as amazing as KTVAECU! They have the friendliest staff and great services. I especially love their mobile app; it's really easy to use.

They denied a car loan for the following reason. " caused the union a loss". Yeah right so my wife's no fault accident is a loss to your bank?? First car loan through you all and only business through TVA. We trusted the car lot first time after reviewing TVA one car loan and no fault accident
She had to have surgery and kids luckily only bruised?? Get out of here. Insurance paid the full amount? Only loss was on interest I am assuming? My credit is in the 815+ and I had offered 10K down on vehicle. Next time I rather drive 2+ hours to the nearest Navy Federal Credit Union and get the check handed to me instead dealing with local banks through car lot. Thanks for pulling my credit twice just deny in the long run. We will see what the lawyer says about a second unauthorized credit pull. This veteran will never consider this bank again.

Knoxville TVA car loan says I'm late on my credit report, but I am ahead on payments. I tried getting it taken off, but no luck yet.

With TVA, you don't have to worry about a security leak—because their employees will leak your information on their own. I had one of them send my account number through a regular email, and she actually thought it was secure because she wrote "secure" in the subject line. Do not entrust your money to these fools.

Service is poor and they don't deposit the check before the 29th as they claim they will. Not to mention, they are constantly locking my card when I use it. I will be finding another bank.

Refuse to allow me to apply for a car loan because my account is $1 overdrawn. Will not help me reach my goals due to One Dollar. Very Very Very Petty!!!!!!
This Credit Union is generally unhelpful and unloyal to loyal customers. I have been with them for over 15 Years! Thanks for nothing.

I've banked with TVA for two decades. Until recently, it was just the place where my money was kept. Everyone there had always been friendly, and I had no issues, until I decided to take out a mortgage.

You do not have the ability to automatically pay your mortgage with funds in your TVA Checking; it must be done by their mortgage team.

Last year, their auto-pay stopped when the escrow increased by $2; I missed a mortgage payment. They called, backdated the payment, and updated the auto-pay. Annoying, but fine.

This year, I was not informed, and they left the auto-pay off for three months. I have a lot of personal tragedy currently taking place and wasn't paying much attention to my bank account. There was enough available for six months of mortgage payments.
But, when my credit dropped 103 points, I noticed. Checking in on my accounts, they had taken the missed payments—they were capable of it the entire time. They just waited until my credit took a dive to do anything.

When I called, asking why I wasn't notified in any way, the only answer I was given was, "We sent you an escrow change letter in January." Great. Thanks.

If you just need a place to keep money, they're passable. For any banking beyond that, look elsewhere.

I recently became a member of the TVA Credit Union at the Farragut location, and I have been extremely disappointed with the treatment I received. I have taken my business to another bank. Some of the emails I sent to the loan officer were not returned, and I was also told after my last email that I would receive a call from her, which never happened. Many times, she would only contact my husband and not me. My name was on the Joint checking account, the Loan application, as well as the Deed to the property. I felt like I was talked over and dismissed whether I was present at a meeting or contacting the loan officer through email, voicemail, etc. Bottom line, if you are a female, it would certainly be in your best interest to go elsewhere.
