Unfair and deceptive business lending. Be aware. Stay away from this bank. They need to be thoroughly investigated. They will respond to you instantly if they can charge you as much fee as possible. Otherwise, you do not hear from them many weeks if there is a request of refund of unreasonable charges. This bank cannot be trusted.

If you are a small business owner, do not bank with Citizens! They are predatory in their fees and unwilling to work with new businesses during trying times. The absolute worst bank for new businesses! I am leaving and going to WesBanco.

Rude customer service; high fees on loans, dishonest loan officers, racial discrimination, etc. There are so many issues to list. Bottom line: stay away from this bank.

They acquired my local bank, started charging me a monthly fee and now are charging me to close the account I don't want with them

Deliberately sat on my funds for 6 business days when they were directed to return a wire transfer of $710,000!

A quality bank would have at least offered to pay interest.

Nice people work at Citizen and I like the business checking BUT the login process has serious glitches followed by wait times of 30 - 60 minutes to get an online support person. The helpful in-person bank staff can't help me with an online account. If you only bank online -- good luck!

I have banked with Citizens Business for about three years now. They have been a truly great bank. I have never had a problem with any aspect of this bank. They are easy to use, convenient and quick. If I've ever had a problem, customer service has been very kind to me and was always able to solve it. I've never been charged an overdraft fee at this bank, and I and my family will continue to use Citizens Business Bank. I have recommended this bank to friends and they have all come back to me with very positive feedback.

I first opened an account with Citizens Business Bank in the Fall of 2010. I decided to fill out an application online when looking for a bank that I could have payments directed deposited into. The application process was quick and easy. I received notification that I was approved for an account within seconds. An agent called me the next morning to ensure that my account was set up properly. At the time, the bank was having a promotion. Once a new account had used the debit card so many times, the account was credited $100 USD. The promotion was legitimate and I received my credit within a week of completing the spending requirements. Customer service has always been impeccable. I have rarely had questions about my account, but each time I do, I am answered in a timely fashion, whether I have chosen to telephone the bank or e-mail customer service through the website. In early 2012, someone that I trusted stole my bank information and spent money out of my account until it was in the red by hundreds of dollars before I noticed. I immediately called the bank, expecting that they would not be able to do anything for my situation, giving that my card was not stolen and I knew the person spending the money. Instead, the bank offered to stop charging me any extended overdraft fees or returned items fees in exchange for my making a payment plan to fix my account. Citizens Business Bank has been nothing but helpful and courteous to me. I expect to use them as my banking institution for a very long time, if not for life.
