I was in the emergency room, on medication, and semi-conscious when the admissions lady came in. Somehow, I was signed up for this with no terms and conditions, no information, and now I can no longer negotiate my billing. I am stuck in a credit loan with 100% late fees, no information, and it was based on falsehoods. I will be fighting this. How are people being signed up for a credit loan while they are in the process of treatment and medicated?

Their garbage website doesn't work when you actually try to log in to pay, and their useless outsourced customer service on the phone doesn't understand what you're trying to tell them and tell you to go through all the steps you already have to fix it. I regret even bothering using this company.

Piedmont Hospital presented CURAE as a financial "screening" option, and if approved, I should call Piedmont back to have the approval set up to assist me in paying for the required major surgery. When I called back, they said the payment arrangement was now between me and CURAE. I applied for senior housing and CURAE appeared on my credit report as a $1,400 loan. My credit score dropped 91 points due to the CURAE loan. I have not had a "poor" credit rating since my 20s. I will be homeless in one week due to my credit rating. I am so frustrated. Stay away from CURAE!

Predatory lending at its finest. They partner with hospitals, which in turn railroad customers into using their financing. People who might have other means to pay are unable to do so moments before major surgery. They are masters at delaying payments so they can charge late fees and then threaten customers with credit damage. They even pressure customers to disclose bank account information to exploit them financially. It's unethical and exploitative. Stay away, far away.

Once I called back, hospital staff had amnesia, said payment was between me and CURAE and I should call CURAE. Applied for senior housing and CURAE appears on my credit report as a $1,400 Loan dropping my credit rating 91 points and impacting my ability to apply for housing. I never apply for loans. CURAE IS PREDATORY !!! PLEASE START REPORTING CURAE TO BBB.

Worst experience ever! They nearly bankrupted me. They took over $8,000 from my checking account instead of the $360 they should have taken. Several checks bounced, I was charged for each overdraft, and now I'm struggling to pay my bills. To top it off, they refuse to return the money. It's been a nightmare!
