Unaware of the bill, I received a call from a company claiming that I was delinquent on a past-due bill. I suspected it was a scam attempting to obtain credit card information. I asked for a paper bill to verify, but they refused to send one. I checked an old bill online, and it showed nothing due.
I disregarded the whole incident until I got a warning from my credit monitoring system about a derogatory event. I reached out to inquire, and they said it was for the bill for which I had asked for a paper invoice, claiming that I refused to pay. That's untrue; I merely asked for verification and was willing to pay upon validation. They still refused. It's unreasonable.

They won't give me any information on this account, even after calling several times. I have no idea who or what this is. If someone would let me know, we may be able to agree, as I assume this is a bill of some sort.

The collections reported by Eastern were for an account I never had with Frontier Communications. The HOA covering the home where I was living at the time this account was supposedly opened did not allow Frontier to service any properties within the boundaries of the association.

Never had this in my name. Gas and electric companies should really confirm with the customer before sending out the order. This is considered fraud—it is not me, and it's very hard to get off your account.

With all the issues that is going on with this collection company, why is the credit bureaus trusting the information that this company gives them? How can one work on their credit score if companies like this one are allowed to attach false information and it show and hurt their credit score? The credit bureaus need to remove the information provided from them since they are an unreliable source. It's a shame that this is allowed to happen and the credit bureaus seem not to care. Why should they? It doesn't effect them. They appear to believe they are untouchable and don't have to answer to anyone.....maybe they don't. Who knows. This is downright wrong on every level.

Paid Eastern Account Systems debt which they offered a settlement of $169.14 . August 22,2023 I paid the Collection Off/Closed. I requested a letter to show the debt closed ZERO balance. I pray it brings my score up a great deal. I've been working to buy a vehicle because UBER has cost me way to much back and forth to work. Urgent need to take my pet to the Vet. It's just been a nightmare without all because of a Poor Credit Score which not all was due to my debt. I've learned a lot in these last couple of years. Trusting People, Businesses, can have a devastating impact on Your Present Life and Your Future. Greed.. Sad

Charging me for a account that is not mine..have contacted them with no resolve..They can not have my signature as this bill does not belong to me..Have disputed to no avail. So I guess will just continue to remain on my credit report.
