Shady practices include canceling remote deposit services within the app without informing the customer until after the customer realizes they can’t pay their bills from that account because they have no way to put money in the account because they no longer live in the state of Maryland. After informing First Financial Credit Union of this, I was told it was my problem to fix. No, it’s not. Maybe don’t turn off features like remote deposit for your out-of-state customers.

My experience with this bank has been incredible. The staff has always been so kind and helpful. I have recently worked with Theresa D., and she is absolutely the most pleasant woman I've encountered in a very long time as far as businesses go. Along with her help and assurance at First Financial, my life has been changed for the better. Thank you.

Absolutely terrible customer service. They do nothing for loyal customers. You wait over two weeks for refunds. They are closed on the weekends. Extremely inconvenient.

Do not bank here. They have drastically gone down hill. If you like fraudulent charges and hacked accounts all the time then bank here. The fraud department will not be able to catch fraudulent charges or issues let alone even let you know of them. I was notified after over a month of fraud charges more then 15 fraud charges. You cant get a hold of anyone they all just pass you around in circles. Even the bank manager spent 20 minutes to try and get a hold of no one to answer. So If you want a bank you can trust find a reputable one, if you dont care about your money bank here

First financial has great customer service and helped me get a loan to help me build credit and even let me choose how I wanted to pay and when.

I'm so confused right now. Why did my credit score drop for paying off my card before the due date like I'm supposed to. I was told that was the correct thing to do

I hate this bank and can't wait to take my money out on Monday. I have direct deposit and for two paychecks straight they have my account blocked FOR NO REASON. I had to get a new card two weeks ago and NOONE could tell me what the problem was. Just got paid on Friday and lo and behold, I can't access my funds AGAIN and again NO ONE can tell me why. I have bills to pay that are late thanks to your bank.....I HATE THIS BANK AND WILL BE CLOSING MY ACCOUNT FIRST THING MONDAY MORNING...THEY OFFER NO ALTERNATIVES EITHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would they close the drive thru 2 hours early for the employees protection? It’s a drive thru. Wendy’s and McDonald’s is open. How do you expect customers to get anything done? I need to deposit a large check from my 401k that I cannot do on the AP. I love how you call before 3:00 and they just leave you on hold toll after 3 so they don’t have to answer. Time to change banks.

Grate place to do all banking, low fees and fantastic service. They have the lowest rates on mortgages credit cards auto loans. also a good place for checking

Started off loving this credit union, I've only been with them for a few years but everything was great! I've had 3loans with them so far and didn't have any problems in the beginning with the loan application process, etc. I'm not sure if they have new staff or what but they sent me on a wild goose chase while trying to get a new loan. I was approved, then denied, then approved and denied again. It was annoying and frustrating to deal with. I initially applied for the first loan, one of the representatives applied for the second loan for me but the numbers were off and I spoke to different reps who told me different things/numbers. I'm really annoyed with the miscommunication!!!!! And most likely will never take out a loan with them again. They give you the run around and false hope. A coouple if the reps were really nice while trying to explain what happened, the others just sucked and need more training! trying to explain what happened

This bank deserves zero star.

My Mum is a senior citizen has had an account with FFFCU for many years.

On July 27, she went to her branch to make an international wire transfer to CFC Stanbic Bank Kenya. The transfer request was handed to Christina Hoffmann. On receipt, Christina claimed that the bank account was not correct. So what does she do? She went ahead and changed the account number without the my Mum's consent.

Surprise surprise, no funds were received in the account by August 23. All this time, my Mum made several visits to the bank to follow up on a wire transfer confirmation or reference number but Christina insisted that no confirmation or reference number had been received. At some point along the ordeal, she admitted after the funds had been sent to the wrong account number but the error had been corrected on August 3. Then the stories started changing "we have sent an email to American Express but not received a response", "the money must be with CFC Stanbic". Days turned into weeks for a wire transfer that should take 48 hrs tops.

So last Friday, August 19, my Mum got a reference number. I called CFC Stanbic Customer Care. CFC Stanbic confirmed they had received the funds on July 29 but were unable to credit the account because the account number was incorrect. On August 1, CFC Stanbic sent a request for the correct account number to be sent within 5 days. After no correct account number was received, CFC Bank sent back the funds on August 9. All that was done by CFC Stanbic within 10 minutes of my call and was followed up with an email with attachments to support their claims which were forwarded to FFFCU.

This morning August 23, my Mum and sister went to FFFCU. FFFCU could not confirm the funds had been transferred to the correct account. After heated exchange the funds including charges were credited back to her account.

The customer experience at this bank sucks. The staff are evasive, unresponsive and reactive rather than proactive. It's the last place I would open a bank account.

I was a member of First Financial Credit Union of Maryland during my time living in Maryland, and I would definitely recommend them for anyone with a branch near them. Their fees are very reasonable and you're given a lot of tools to manage your finances. Their customer service, while slow at times, is excellent and was very helpful in resolving an issue I had with identity theft. Your money is definitely in good hands at First Financial Federal Credit Union.

I've done my banking with First Financial for quite a few years now. While it's true there aren't many locations, the staff at the locations they do have is wonderful. I'm always waited on promptly, and if I have a problem, it's taken care of in no time. I've never had an issue getting to a location, or finding an ATM to get cash from. Some do charge a small fee, but if you ask, they will tell you where you can go to avoid the fees. Doing my banking here has always been extremely easy, which is why I've had the account for so long.

My parents had a savings account set up for me through the First Financial Federal Credit Union of Maryland. There wasn't a whole lot of money in there but I figured I'd keep contributing to it when I started working. Everything was fine and dandy when I put money in, but when I tried to change things up, I ran into some issues. Everyone that I dealt with was courteous and nice and I was understanding that there was nothing they could do, but I was getting knocked around with fees and disclosures that seemed a bit unnecessary to me. All in all, I took my business elsewhere.
