Horrible. I submitted court documents where the person who stole my identity and opened this account was convicted and is currently in prison, yet it's still on my report.

Horrible, they will do anything to keep collecting on an account, even when you have proven beyond a doubt that it is not yours. Police reports, a phone number not associated with you used to open the account, and work routes proving you were in a different state when the card was opened and used are all provided. They only use the FCRA when it benefits them; when it benefits you, they ignore it.

They are horrible, going after me for a card I paid years ago and for which I sent proof. Not only did they list it on my credit report twice, but they also showed the same card with two different amounts—a $7 difference. They don't know what I owe; they can't even list one amount correctly, so they just put it on twice with different amounts. This is completely illegal. That's only one of the issues I have with this horrible company. I have emailed and sent messages on their website providing them with proof of all the information, yet they still don't fix it. Then they take one of the different amounts off for one week and put it back on my report. It's the most fraudulent, unprofessional company around.

LVNV Funding has reinserted a previously deleted tradeline into my TransUnion report three times, each without proper notice or documentation—a direct violation of FCRA §611(a)(5)(B). Their reporting lacks original creditor details, billing history, and any verifiable contract. This pattern reflects systemic abuse of credit reporting laws and intentional misrepresentation, consistent with hundreds of other consumer complaints. I've filed formal complaints with the CFPB and FDIC, and I urge others to document and escalate every violation. LVNV's tactics are not just aggressive—they're unlawful.
LVNV settled a $12.5 million lawsuit for deceptive practices, including filing false affidavits and collecting without proper licensing. Their continued reinsertion of unverifiable debt is part of a broader strategy to pressure consumers into payment without proof. Know your rights. Demand validation. Escalate every time.
In April 2025, LVNV Funding was sued in federal court for attempting to collect a time-barred debt from 2007 without disclosing that the statute of limitations had expired. The company also failed to warn that making a payment could revive the expired debt, a tactic that exploits consumer confusion and violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). This case is part of a broader pattern: LVNV routinely purchases aged, uncollectible debts and pressures consumers with misleading letters and unverifiable tradelines. Their strategy hinges on volume, not validity—and it's costing consumers their financial stability.

Horrible company that purchases fraudulent debt and reports it on the credit report as a new account; even after being disputed and deleted, they wait a month and report it again on the credit report as a delinquent new account, rapidly lowering your score. This dishonest company has repeatedly violated fair credit laws with no consequences.

They are double reporting on the same debt that Ben closed. It's a horrible place; you can't contact them to tell them anything. I think they are committing fraud.

The worst collection agency I have ever had to deal with. You cannot contact them directly. They send their junk debt to other collection agencies to collect. They will not provide validation of the debt once they take it over, and they will sue you for petty amounts. They lost big time in court when they tried to sue me. I won. They are very desperate and aggressive over junk debt. They are the lowest of the low. Never pay them. Beware.

For over twelve years, I have been subjected to repeated harassment regarding a matter that was legally resolved long ago. A court order explicitly confirms that I am not financially responsible and designates another party as liable. Despite this, the same individuals continue to harass me — making calls at inappropriate hours, filing false reports, and attempting to hold me accountable in direct contradiction to the court’s ruling.
This ongoing behavior is not only baseless but unlawful. Their actions demonstrate a pattern of obsession and harassment that has continued well beyond any reasonable timeframe. I respectfully assert that this matter requires monitoring and enforcement, as I should not be repeatedly targeted for an issue that was settled by legal authority over a decade ago.

These people are 100% scammers who don't care about being aggressively fraudulent, and they know exactly what they are doing by falsely charging me multiple times.

I have called multiple times for a letter of satisfaction on an account that has been paid off for literally three years. They keep saying it will take 24 to 48 hours. It's been a week now.

I'm on disability, and they still tried to sue me. Good luck trying to collect on that. The person I spoke to only had one goal in mind: to scare me. Too bad I know the law. I've sued them before for harassment, and they settled for $750.

Ignorant, this was paid off like 1 year ago. I argue with them almost daily, and the man said he'll apply as soon as I apologize. Worst company ever to deal with.

They closed and then reopened my account with them. I don't even know how this is possible after a year of closure... Now it is $700+ instead of the original amount.

This is a scam company that I would consider a bottom feeder. I started working with a debt management company and they sent them a letter of intent to resolve this debt. Instead of accepting this offer, they decided to try to sue me.
