Credit unions are a simple concept. Pool your money together for the best rates and services, without having to answer to outsiders. From Aloha to Albany, Portland to Prineville, they have been Oregon’s credit union since rocks were young (aka 1936).

We have been members of this credit union since the mid '70's and my parents long before that. We had such good service back then. Tellers knew us and we felt a loyalty and connection. We have physically been to our branch in Oregon City (a training branch, but hasn't always been) to get help setting up and using our accounts on line as the Oregonian Credit Union has recently installed a new software program supposedly to make life easier. Not so!!! We have a business account plus several other accounts under our trust. It has been very frustrating not to be able to log into these accounts, having business account tied to personal accounts, errors into which deposit money goes. When trying to communicate with the main office in Clackamas/Portland area, you are left on hold extreme lengths of time then told there might be an issue keeping business account separate from the trust accounts. Recently they decided we were told we needed to create a new sign in which meant a few trips to our branch to get help accomplishing that task. Today, October 30, 2023 after repeatedly trying to log in with no luck, we were told there is nothing they can do to fix problems as it is a third party company that has implemented this new program! Anyone else having these problems? What are we to do as we are experiencing a tremendous loss of time and energy and it is creating a great deal of stress? It is also creating feeling of lack of trust and confidence in this credit union and may have to move our accounts to a different Credit Union.

This was my first experience with a credit union. I had to do some research to see what it was all about before trusting them with the inheritance I received from my father’s passing. My girlfriend recommended them to me.
The one major thing I'd like to stress is the customer service they offered. I have accounts at other banks, but being a “one in millions” customer doesn't get you the best customer service. When I have questions or need to withdraw money, they're extremely courteous on the phone. I've had some great conversations with a few of their representatives (wish I could remember their names!). I've never had any problems with them and the sign up process was stress free.
I've recommended them to others and I'll continue to do so. Oregonians Credit Union is great. It makes sense they have such great customer service, since all of us Oregonians are quite nice. They're definitely an amazing credit union.
