This is probably the worst car buying experience I’ve had in my life. I purchased a vehicle through a dealership which used Truliant for my loan. The dealership never sent the title to Truliant. Truliant then threatened to raise my rate if they didn’t get the title which they are responsible for getting themselves. If they can’t get the title what makes them think I can get it and I don’t own the car. I’m now being punished because someone didn’t do they’re job. Truliant should not have ever sent or approved payment to the dealership without receiving the loan. That’s really bad business and I wouldn’t recommend anybody to do business with them. Horrible!!!!
After being approved for a auto loan. I found a truck I wanted to purchase. Getting the money to the private seller was a nightmare. I left five voicemails and he never returned my call. Truliant is severely lacking in customer service.
Went in yesterday to sell my car and buyer was taking out a loan with truliant. Was told previous day to schedule appointment and everything would be done same day…when arrive found out only info would be taken and it would take 1-3 days for processing to send an email to buyer for her to approve paperwork and an additional 1-2 days for check or money to be available to me. That if she went to a dealer this would be handled same day. I explained that I could lose the car I was buying and they could careless. Banker could not reach out to processing to expedite paperwork. We both (seller and buyer) called 800 number only to be told they could not reach processing either they are just a call center. They are short staffed but when I took my car loan out this was done same day so obviously they are to short staffed to manage money too. I’m withdrawing my money and closing my accounts as soon as I have my money. What poor customer service. I went to another credit Union and was in and out with check in 30 minutes so I know it can be done but truliant does does not want to staff appropriately,
If I could leave less than a star I would. Apparently my loan has matured due to me not having insurance, so they added force placed insurance to my account. Except I did have insurance, and provided proof. Here’s the kicker. They sent all this information to an address I had 7 years ago and swears I didn’t update it, even though I have to provide my address every time I make a payment over the phone. So here I am, with a now delinquency on my credit because they sent all these letters to not my previous address, but the one before then. Never, and I repeat, never get your car loan through Truliant. I will be telling everyone I know to never do business here
On 2/18/2022 I was approved for a transparent card. 4 weeks go buy no card so I ask them at a branch whats going on thats when I found paper work was messed up . They returned my call and said it was all straighten out and that they would expedite my card the following Monday or Tuesday. Well 3/25/2022 rolls around no card . I called them on 3/28/2022 got hung up on with second lady while explaining to her what was happening and I called back 3rd time and talked to a young lady which was very nice. So she checked on what was going on and comes back and tells me thar it was lost and o needed to reapply. So my response was as of Friday I would be pulling all my funds out and switching banks her response was I completely understand. So to sum it up this is one of the most unorganized credit union I have every dealt with and they really don't deserve 1 star.
Incompetent. Credit card payments and bank are not in sinc. Your credit score can be affected by their incompetent card/bank sharing. I made payments to my card on several occasions, I received an email confirming my payment but it was reversed 3 days later. Went to the bank to clear up the problem and it happened again. I closed my account after 12 years. The first 8 years no problem the last four horrible. Takes 30 minutes minimum to get some one to talk to they blame Covid even though the problem was there way before Covid. I would suggest you stay away from Truliant unless you enjoy being frusrtated and dealing with clueless and careless customer service.
I refinanced from Wells Fargo to Truliant to get a better rate. Had I known the horrible accounting system and terrible customer service I would continue to encounter, I would have stayed with the higher interest rate at Wells. So tempted to do another refi just to get good service.
They unfairly charged me insufficient funds fee when I had money in my accounts. I called and asked about it and it seemed like she pretended she talked to the manager and said they can’t reverse it even though it was not a regular pattern for me/ my accounts there.
I recently went to Mendenhall Branch to open an account and speak with someone in finance about moving my investments to them. The senior investment person was very rude, I did not move my investments to them and I never got my checks sent to me. Very disappointed
