Communication is lacking. Mid FL stopped processing payments at the beginning of the new year because of how the auto-pay is set up. My issue is that I had to find out by receiving a notification about my credit and realizing it took a big hit. I received no email or phone call about the past due amount, only a message on online banking, without even an email letting me know there was a message. They said it's because I chose electronic communication, and the amount was too small for them to bother calling me. I'm very surprised a company wouldn't call to say your auto-pay expired, and you might want to renew it. Instead, they would rather it go to collections and let someone's credit be damaged. It shows they care nothing about their customers.

Damien helped me with my auto pay for my car loan payment. He was super courteous and caring. He called me back when he said he would with the information I needed. Very efficient and superb service.
I've been with MidFlorida for 20+ years and their customer service is outstanding. Whenever I have a question or concern, it is addressed immediately. I even requested a new branch in central Largo, and it was done!

Highly rude and disrespectful. When someone says to another, "I don't mean to be disrespectful, but..." it's because they are fully aware they are being disrespectful, and everything after the word "but" is nonsense. I don't recommend doing any business with these individuals. They call themselves a credit union, but they behave like a bank.

I am extremely frustrated with this company's handling of my account. I was not notified at all about a late payment, which is completely unacceptable. I had no idea there was an issue until I received notice that they had reported it to the credit bureau. This lack of communication is incredibly unprofessional and has negatively impacted my credit score. If I had been informed about the missed payment in a timely manner, I could have easily resolved it before it affected my credit. Now, I'm left with the consequences of their failure to notify me. This experience has been a complete nightmare, and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

AVOID AVOID AVOID BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE This credit union is terrible to have a car loan with. I would never open an account with them. I don't live within hours of a location. To pay your bill, you can call in and pay a fee. The other option is to link an account. To do this, you need to give a third party your username and password for your bank account. I guess you could send a check, but who does that anymore? It makes it tough on you. And don't be late. They are the fastest and most aggressive creditor when it comes to reporting anything negative on your credit report. It's the first late payment I've had on my credit in over 10 years. This credit union is not made for the members but for themselves.

My original review stated, 'I've been making my payments electronically from my bank for the last two years without any problems. This morning, I received an email stating that they "made changes to the way they process bill payments and, as a result, future payments will be sent by check instead of electronically." I had to pay this way for my wife's truck in the past, and twice the check "never made it." Thank you for making life more difficult instead of easier, MidFlorida Credit Union.'
I'm surprised to say that MidFlorida Credit Union made things right. I received an email from my credit union about MIDFLORIDA CU stating, "future payments can be sent electronically instead of by check." Thank you MidFlorida Credit Union for doing the right thing!

Customers Beware. If I could give them a zero, I would! I have been hit with a negative credit due to their system issues and the manager, April in Collections, would not accept fault for the company or try to correct it. Instead, she said, "You're calling on Friday at almost 5 pm," and hung up on me. People in these positions and this type of service provider should be more sensitive to people's credit as it is very important to maintain a good score. I will move forward with writing to the BBB as well, because a system error should not be my fault and should be fixed. I should not be hung up on, even on a Friday at almost 5 pm. April is a poor manager who needs corrective actions or to be shown the door.

I absolutely dislike MidFlorida Credit Union. Just to pay my car loan every month requires a phone call to them, and I wait 20, 40, 60 minutes on an automated line. Or I request a callback and wait a day or two for a return call. I dislike MidFlorida Credit Union. They have the "bottom of the barrel" in phone and customer service.

Do NOT get a vehicle loan with this credit union. My car is in my spouse’s name. Suffice it to say the relationship is a problem. We are still married. My house is still listed as her legal address. They are threatening to repossess the vehicle - even when the payments are current - SIMPLY BECAUSE it’s the vehicle I’m driving and I’m not on the loan. They consider the spouse 3rd party possession!!! I’m beyond disgusted with how nasty I’ve been treated. Florida is a marital property state and as I explained to them I can be awarded the vehicle and the be liable for the debt, therefore I have every right to possess, pay for, and drive the vehicle. No divorce has even been filed! And the loan is on time! They also told me their contract supersedes state law! Yeah right! Absolutely disgusted with this nasty credit union!!! Also - they asked me over and over if we are together. I said - we are MARRIED. There is no divorce. None has been filed. There is no such thing as a legal separation in Florida so, by law, we are together.
