Provident Credit Union Checking Accounts Reviews
What's Your Rating?
There are only two reasons why I am giving them a four instead of a five. Firstly, while there are branches everywhere in the San Francisco bay area, the minute you go to a different region of California, they evaporate. The one I use now that I live in the northern part of the state is the only branch for at least fifty miles in any direction, and I have to make a twenty minute drive to get there.
Second, their hours are not good, even for a bank. They have NO open hours on Saturday, which means that if you work a full time job during the week, there is literally no time you can possibly come in... although this isn't as big an issue as it could be, since they have easy, accessible online banking.
Aside from those two flaws, Provident is great, and I would heartily recommend them to my friends. They are friendly, give great customer service, and they never, ever saddle me with hidden or unexpected fees.
The application process is very easy. I actually was able to apply and get approved for an account within matter of minutes over their website.
They have yet to disappoint :)
