The Emigrant Direct Visa Signature Bonus Rewards PLUS Credit Card is another one of those credit cards for the Credit elite with excellent credit that the average man should not waste him time on. Although it does offer cash back on your first purchase and points for every dollar you spend the potential high APR of 20.99% on purchases with the card and 23.99% on cash advances should be a major red flag. Especially when compared to similar cards on the market which offer better point to dollar value on the money you spend and much lower APR's.

The Emigrant Direct Visa Signature Bonus Rewards Plus Credit Card is a nice reward credit card. I like that it starts you out with a $50 then does 1 point for every dollar spent and then ALSO does 50% point matching every month. There is also no limit on the amount that you can earn. If you are looking for a new credit card i would definitely recommend this one. It has 0% for 6 months and then after that the interest rate isn't horrible. If your going to use a credit card you might as well use one that gives you cash back. This is one of the better rewards cards i have seen available lately.

The Emigrant Direct Visa Signature® Bonus Rewards PLUS Credit Card is a fairly standard credit card with one nice feature that I appreciate. The extra 50% bonus points per month makes every purchase at any location give 1.5 points per dollar, where every other credit card would usually set it to just 1. This extra 50% results in an extra 5 points every 10 dollars spent, which can add up for frequent credit card users. I currently use a Chase credit card and I only get 1% on all my purchases at stores, so this extra 0.5% would be a nice addition. The other features this card has such as transaction fees and late fees are ordinary and don’t add or detract to my appreciation for this card. I dislike the Emigrant Direct Visa Signature® Bonus Rewards PLUS Credit Card for one reason only: it has a $50 yearly fee that seems unwarranted from its lack of big ticket credit features. The card does have low rates for people with good credit, but a yearly fee is an unusual addition to what would otherwise be an extraordinary card. This card does offer $50 back for first purchase to offset the yearly fee, making this card a great choice for someone trying out their first year with a very nice Visa card.
