Legacy Visa, which is owned by First National Credit Card, is one of the worst credit cards one can get. I received a mail offer stating that the credit limit was up to $2000, so I decided to apply because my credit is fair, and I was approved for the minimum, which is $350. They advertise a high credit limit and make it sound like you're pre-approved for that amount, but more than likely, you'll end up receiving the minimum. I had the credit card for a month, but I ended up canceling it. The customer service is horrible; they don't listen and will argue with you on the phone. I also had a billing dispute, and they don't issue a temporary credit like most credit card companies do. Even if you send the documentation disputing it, they will not work with you at all to resolve the issue. I had a horrible experience and I would advise anyone with fair credit to go with Capital One, or consider a secured credit card with your local credit union or opt for a US Bank secured credit card. I would not recommend Legacy Visa to anyone.

Great company to deal with and locally operated. I plan to stay with them forever as I was very new to building credit, and they treated me according to my actual credit score and not by my length or experience using credit.

Avoid this credit card if you can help it. Honestly, I would have given them 5 stars 3 months ago. I've had this card for a while with no issues. I missed a payment recently, completely my fault; I honestly just forgot. Other than that one missed payment, I have paid on time every single time. But for missing that one payment, they are charging me eight times what my minimum payment usually is this month. Thankfully, I had some extra money so I was able to pay this exorbitant amount. But it makes my blood boil when I think about those who can't pay these exorbitant amounts for missing a payment once, and just knowing it's probably on purpose where they can just keep on adding fees. In addition, they charge an annual fee which isn't worth it if you are able to qualify for better credit cards. I'm cutting this card up tonight and will not be using this card ever again.

I will be canceling this card first thing in the morning. First, I pay my annual fee of $75 a year. Now, they are taking out an extra $6.25 a month, calling it a "service fee." No, I already paid that with my $75 annual fee and will not pay it twice.

This account is closed; please report it on my credit report. They only give you a $300 credit limit, which isn't very useful, and the fee is too high. They bill you right away, not payments.

The most loyal company that I have ever worked with—my first credit line was maybe $250 and, without any calls or begging for an increase like every other bank makes you go through, they have always made good on the promise to watch the account and offer increased limits. Plus, the customer service is great and knowledgeable. They took a chance on me many years ago, and I kept my commitment to pay on time. Today, this card has a higher limit than my big label cards and banks. I'm grateful for their loyalty

I was misled into believing I was getting a $1500 credit line. After a significant inquiry on my credit, they only approved a $350 credit line. I was very upset. Additionally, they deducted their annual fee of $75 right away. After I made the first payment toward their annual fee, they are now charging me interest on top of their annual fee. This is extremely unfair, and I consider it to be a rip-off. Now I'm stuck. Please be cautious and think twice before applying for this credit card.

After a misunderstanding, they added a 30-day late notice, and even after a dispute with evidence, they refused to remove the 30-day late mark. I am in the process of buying a home and the mortgage company doesn't want to move forward because of this 30-day late mark on the account. The account is paid off. I would love to find a solution with First National Bank and would be more than happy to change my review.

Awful customer service. I applied in September 2024 and they said I was approved, but I never received anything. Today (1/24/2025), I received another offer in the mail. This company has not sent any letters or responses regarding a decision. I've called multiple times since I applied, wanting an answer. Not worth the business or the extra hard credit inquiry.
