Wings Financial Credit Union Credit Cards

Wings no longer sends the annual financial summary. There was no notice or warning. Calls leave you in loops. If you reach a human, they will give you a phone number that leads to a new loop. Unfortunately, the website doesn't help either.

I have paid my credit card at Wings early for years! Called and talked to one of their supervisors, who said it should never be a problem. I'm retired and get money twice a month. I receive my money and pay the same day! So I paid my credit card on the 8th for the next month, but now it shows I am late. They basically told me I had to pay over $200 because of a computer error on the billing date! I spent an hour on the phone, had to call four times, and was transferred four or five times. They talked to a supervisor who just said tough luck. Wasting hours of my valuable time to make a payment I did not owe is despicable.

Similar to another reviewer, Wings Financial refuses to assist me in obtaining credit for fraudulent goods purchased with their Wings/Visa Debit card. Emails go unanswered, and questions go weeks without being addressed.

It gives the appearance of Wings being more of an advocate for the criminal rather than for me.

I will be closing all accounts shortly. $627 lost to Wings.

I can't make a payment online or on the app. I have a personal loan as well, which I can't make payments on. I'm never going into that place again, but I can tell current and potential future customers that the payment options available to members are designed to force late payments and tack on multiple late fees. Lots of members were under the impression their loans were completely paid off until they received a repossession letter stating they had to pay almost a thousand in late fees incurred. You would think this kind of practice wouldn't be legal... only in America. In addition, credit unions are exempt from paying federal taxes... notice all the credit unions here in Commesota? I rest my case.

You wouldn't think a bank this totally incompetent could pull off a bait and switch fraud, but they did. Save time, save money, stay away.

Since it was impossible to talk to a live customer in their credit card/loan department—45 minutes on hold!—I took my inquiry to a more attentive competitor. I thought they would have learned at least something from previously listed negative comments in that regard. But no...

Terrible experience. We were lied to. A “Universal Banking Associates” told us would pay one rate which we had specifically asked about to make sure it was close to the one we paid at our previous credit card company. On the phone the “associate” figured what our payment would be, and it was reasonable. Spoiler alert! - We were lied to about the rate we would be paying.

We got our first bill. The amount was almost double what the associate had quoted to us. The associate would not return calls. She responded to our emails stating, “I have reached out to our VISA service department for advice on this” followed up by “I have heard back from our Visa Service Department, the minimum monthly payment is 2% of the Visa balance. I have attached a copy of the truth in lending disclosure that will be coming in the mail with your new VISA.” Interesting in that we couldn’t have even known about the actual rate until we received our cards, but they, Wings Financial, can say whatever they think will get you to sign on with them until then. That is one devious business practice.

Obviously we were not happy about being lied too, so we left a final message with the associate and said that someone needed to call us, even if it wasn’t her.

We did receive a call from a branch manager, stating they have no control over the minimum monthly rate. When asked about tlying by being told one rate, but given another, she repeatedly stated that’s not the way they do business (by lying), but there is nothing they can do about it. Ironically, lying to us and then denying responsibility was exactly the way they do business. The manager also kept calling the lie a “miscommunication” in some type of weird Orwellian doublespeak. No, it was simply a lie. When we called their customer service number we were on hold for over 30 minutes – I guess there were a lot of complaints! Go elsewhere for your Credit Card needs, if you go to Wings Financial you will likely regret it.

I called them to move my payment to a later date. It was coinciding with my car loan. They said they did it. I said it's not showing on my end. They rudely said it's done. I asked for email confirmation. They said we don't do that "because it's internal". I paid the card a few days before the supposedly changed date. They charged me with an ODF one week after my payment. Predators.

Very good bank. They worked with me when no one else would. They have helped me get me credit up just within the last 3 months. They are a grate company

At this point, after being a member for 37 yrs, I can say the entire bank processes have gone down hill. Including the online program that doesn't apply payments, Loan department constantly trying to add insurance to my vehicle loans when they already have documentation of insurance. Without getting into the entire lack of consistent customer service, I would say to you - take your money elsewhere. There is a lot of issues with this bank.
