No stars. I tried to send $1,500 to my Apple Cash card so I could send it to my son via Apple Pay, and Wells Fargo kept declining the transaction. I called customer service and they transferred my call three times. Finally, I got someone in fraud control who said they fixed it. I was told to wait two minutes and try again. When I tried, it STILL didn't go through. So, I had to call back AGAIN and go through the whole three-transfer call process. The fraud person asked me to scan my license front and back using this link to some app. For whatever reason, the back of my license wouldn't read. By that time, I had been on the phone for an hour. I was so frustrated I just hung up. I have almost $80,000 in their bank, and they are always happy to take your deposit but they make it insanely hard to withdraw it.

My grandfather lost $250.00 because he did not use a prepaid card in time. That is absolutely bull crap. He is losing out on so much money because Wells Fargo is too ignorant to give it back to him. Expiration dates are stupid. He simply did not need to use it until recently, what did you expect he was going to spend it on? Gaming? No, he was waiting for a perfect time to use it and you ripped it from him. I expect better from a banking company. This is sad. This is an elderly man we’re talking about. To anyone reading this, if you’re planning on getting a prepaid card, do not use Wells Fargo. There are better alternatives.

No way on God's green earth would a rational person bank with Wells Fargo after reading the reviews. No doubt the complaints are real but every indication suggests that the the 5 star reviews are as fraudulent as the bank itself. They are filled with words like "INCREDIBLE" "OUTSTANDING" "AMAZING" along with plenty of !!!!'s. If you want money from them they probably pay well for 5 star reviews because no one is going to do it for free.
