We would like to pay our bill, but somehow they got the wrong address for our loan. They won't tell us what address they have. So we cannot pay. Their call center is mostly overseas and are largely useless. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

Please be cautioned regarding loans from this company. The interest is difficult to interpret and customer service reps are most challenging to communicate with. Their timeline on any payment or other- is unreasonable and carries penalty. Be Aware!

Service finance company placed a lien against my property, property that I own, for debt a tenant incurred. Leaving aside the host of reasons that’s not legal certainly not ethical. That’s not my main reason for writing a review. In order to have this lien removed, I would have to go through a legal system that cost money significant amount of money for what should be a relatively straightforward and simple process rather than invest that money in a lawyer. I thought I would make a good faith effort to just pay the debt even though it is not mine and move on. This company is impossible to deal with. I’ve spoken with several employees who refused to help me actually pay their company. It’s truly amazing. It is hard to pay them. Over the last 20 days I’ve made contact with dozens of employees requesting a way a method to pay a debt that he’s not mine. No one has been able to help. In case that company cares I’ll list their names at the bottom of this review. Every one of these people I’ve spoken to one of these people has refused to help me pay your company: John McDonald 2 phone calls 6 emails Guda Kamalanadha Reddy 4 emails 1 response (she forwarded my request to John McDonald) Kameshia Chester 3 emails 2 phone calls no response Every single operator I’ve spoken to when I called daily cannot help and does not know where to direct me to pay. I don’t know how somebody invest in a company that has a management who allows employees to not allow the company to collect money. Truly, it’s amazing. Not my debt, apparently not your problem. I spoke to a lawyer today it’s gonna cost me about $5000 to remove a debt. That’s not mine, it’s gonna cost me time. It’s gonna cost your money and your investors because you can’t help and you’re incompetent

Service Finance Company LLC has totally lost my support, and I will NEVER recommend anybody to use them. Last August I had my A/C replaced, and somehow Service Finance became the Leander. They gave me 1 year interest free financing which was good. Since last August I have been sending $500.00 a month to them to pay off my balance. every month I send out the money, but within 2 weeks they refund my money. This has been going on since last August 2025.I have already sent them that $3,000.00 that I owed them, but they refuse to accept the money and apply it to my loan. When I call them to ask why they are sending back my money, they tell me that they never received any money, and since I am still within the 12-month payment plan, I do not need to send them any money. Are they waiting until the expiration date of the free interest to pass by and then tgry to collect a year of interest from me? Service Finance Company is a scammer or a company who will steal you blind. I am done with them. I can prove I sent the money, and where they returned or refunded my money. So do I assume I am paid in full, or do they have uneducated worker working the telephone and they will not allow you to speak to their supervisor. I am sure this is not a good company to deal with if they lied to their customers. "WE NEVER RECEIVED ANY PAYMENTS"

So, I got my windows and financed them through Service Finance. At the minimum payment, it would have been paid off in 10 years. I decided to make the payment with an extra 45 dollars, and it still wouldn't budge, plus the interest was not the 9.99% they told me but 36% because it was compounded daily. I took the terms of my loan and input them into ChatGPT and Gemini and discovered that I could pay it off within a year if I made another payment in the middle of the month, and it would slow down the interest. Next time, I will read the fine print, but there won't be a next time with this company.

First of all, Bath Planet and Service Finance are shady companies. I was quoted a 9.99% interest rate on a bath remodel, but after the remodel was finished and the final papers signed, it went up to 12.99%. What a low-down way to do business. I would rather have an outhouse than to do business with Service Finance or Bath Planet. I had hip surgery and had no income at all, and I used all of my little savings to pay as many people as possible, so I got three months behind. I told them the reason, and they told me they didn't have a hardship plan, and then they sent me intimidating mail and put a lien on my property over $640! Really crappie company, If they keep it up, I will take the $640 and get an attorney. Everyone else I owed money to worked with me with a payment deferment plan, but not these individuals. Like I said, crappie company.

They sent me to a collection agency, and I am wondering if it is through them. I need to talk to a person, but they do not give you that option. They claim I owe money when I am up to date. This company is horrible! When you call them and try to ask questions because you do not agree with them, they hang up on you. I would like to give them a -9 for their service.

My mother-in-law purchased a walk-in tub/shower and it was financed through Service Finance Company. She is now in an assisted living facility and has sold her house. Unbeknownst to her, they placed a lien on her property. She cannot close the sale until the lien is removed. My husband, her son, has power of attorney (POA) for her. He paid off her loan in July of 2024, and we even received a letter from them stating that it was paid in full. We have spoken to several customer service representatives there, asking them to remove the lien so we can close on the house. They keep telling us that there is no lien on the house despite the fact that I have a physical copy of the lien showing that they filed for it. They emailed a letter stating that some credit agencies reported it incorrectly, but that they never placed a lien on the property. Nonetheless, I have a copy of the lien that they definitely placed on the house. At one point, a representative from Service Finance told me that the lien company must send them a request to have it removed. That makes no sense; why would the lien company ask them, the company that hired them to place the lien, to remove it? I contacted the lien company, and they confirmed that there is indeed a lien on the property, and they do not operate in the manner described; Service Finance needs to contact them to have it removed. We are just going in circles with this company. The realtor tried to contact them and couldn't even speak to a person. I emailed them a copy of the lien and threatened to hire an attorney. After that, I received a generic letter instructing me to contact customer service and speak to a representative about any issues and for payment assistance—since it's paid off, I figured this was a generic letter. I am consulting with my attorney later today. But as of right now, we are still awaiting action. I have provided them with all the necessary information, so I don't understand how they are denying placing the lien. I will try to update this review when I can if anything changes. If I could give them less than one star, I would. We may lose out on the sale of her home because the buyers are getting impatient and ready to walk away, so we could lose money there, and if we have to hire an attorney.

This is an update. Service Finance finally filed the lien termination - just today - after I sent threatening emails that we were going to get an attorney and ask for attorney fees in our lawsuit. I'm glad it finally got resolved but it should have gotten resolved the first time we requested it. So I'm not changing my review stars - I would still give them a negative number of stars if I could due to all of the stress and headache they caused and the delay in the closing of the sale of the house.

I have encountered the same poor practice that all the other reviewers have listed, showing one interest rate and then charging double or triple the rate. I am not able to pay this off, but my note was $300.01, and I have sent in $500, which I have paid since 2023. During the summer, my interest rate was $140, and now, in December, it went up to $170! This company should be held accountable for their deceptive behavior. This was for my sewer at home. A 1.0 rating!

Service Finance Company LLC is a horrible company. I financed my bathroom remodel with Re-Bath, which was delayed for six months. They required that I make payments before the installation was completed and reported missed payments to the credit companies, which hurt my credit score. After the installation was finally completed on 11/14/2025, I offered to start monthly payments of $625, but Service Finance refused to remove the negative reports and is now demanding $5,000–$6,000 in extra charges. I plan to take legal action and take them to court.

This company approved a loan through my contractor, Ecostar, for $40,000 to do work on my house. I was declined the first time, and they provided the contractor a new offer, which was not explained to me. I let the contractor rush me and was told the loan was good. I trusted them. Now I've been paying on this $40,000 loan for 14 months, and the balance is $39,116, which means very little has been paid off. I've been paying an extra $90 per month towards the principle. It's a terrible loan, and I'm working on a way out of it. I'm so upset, but I should have been more careful.

Same with me. The best thing to do watch your statements! Do not make the extra payment the same date as the monthly payment. I noticed that Whenever I make both payments the same date, none of the monthly payments is applied to the principal - all is applied to the interest and my extra payment is applied to the interest. Also, they uses a Daily Compound Interest rate! If payments are made according to their calculation, one will pay over 50% of total owed. I'm planning on refinancing my debt and get from under them.

This company is a scam. They offer no interest if the loan is paid within 18 months. So, despite the fact that the minimum payment for my account is $150 per month, I have been paying $400 per month for six months. This weekend I realized that my bank has only been deducting $150 per month from my account. This company has been limiting how much I can pay per month in order to force me into paying a huge interest rate at the end of the loan! Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I agree! The same thing is happening to me. Whenever I make additional payments with my regular payment, they apply my extra payment to Principal, and the regular payment to interest (without applying any of the regular payment to Principal). When I try to make a additional payment online after paying the regular payment, I'm not allowed. Also, the back of my statement states that "unscheduled Payments are not allowed."

This company is a major rip-off. My monthly payment is $1,525.00, but they have tried several times to deduct anywhere from $15,250 to $4,400, so they can collect the NSF fees. They refuse to reimburse me for those fraudulent charges, which total well over $100.00. If you have the option to find another company, I highly suggest you do so.

I would give no stars if I could. My mother and I purchased new windows for our townhouse approximately three years ago, with financing provided through Service Finance Company. My mother was the primary loan holder, and I was listed as a co-signer. We made the agreed-upon monthly payments of $134.35 consistently for several years. In February 2024, my mother sadly passed away from pancreatic cancer. Despite this loss, I continued making the monthly payments on time until earlier this year. Unfortunately, without my mother's income, I began experiencing financial difficulty covering both this loan and the other household expenses. I contacted Service Finance Company to explain my situation and notify them of my mother's passing. The representative I spoke with seemed dismissive and only noted the account. A few months later, when I fell behind on payments, I contacted the company again to inquire about possible assistance. I was granted a deferment/extension, but a day prior, I discovered they had filed a UCC-1 lien against the property due to the missed payments. At no point was I notified in advance that a lien would be filed. The property in question is not even in my name, but in my late parents' names. I find it deeply troubling that the company took such action without prior notice, especially considering the circumstances I am facing after the death of my mother. Service Finance Company has shown no empathy or willingness to work with me during this difficult time. I understand contractual obligations exist, but I also believe compassion and transparency are essential in customer service. Filing a lien without warning, particularly under these circumstances, feels predatory and unfair. I am filing this complaint in hopes of holding Service Finance Company accountable for their lack of communication, empathy, and support during a time of personal hardship. They are horrible.
