A negative five stars would be more appropriate. I have many annuities from different insurance companies. Oxford is by far the most difficult one to obtain disbursements from. They will take the maximum amount of time, deny receipt of documents, and mishandle the request in any way possible to delay sending you the money that is rightfully yours. Do not do business with them. I will never engage with these incompetent individuals again and am in the process of reporting them to the insurance commission in Arizona.

If I could give them a negative rating, I would. It has been horrible. They send you a package. You fill it out and turn it in. 1. They will either claim they don't have it. 2. When they did get it, they won't contact you to tell you there's something wrong. My father passed away in January, and we have been dealing with this company since February or a little after. The only person that helped us was a manager. The only time they receive the documents is when I send them to her, and she sends it to them. A few times I sent it through FedEx, and I guess nobody opened that email. It has been a nightmare dealing with this. And still, to this day, there's no ending. I'm glad my family was able to come together to bury my dad, but if we were waiting for this company to help us, my dad would still be sitting in a box somewhere. Very disappointed.

My mother passed away approximately 60 days ago. This company still hasn’t paid her life insurance policy. The Oxford life insurance agent persuaded a 70 year old woman to replace her existing policy with a new Oxford life insurance policy. My mother was out of the contestability period on the old policy. The new policy started the contestability period over again. Now, Oxford life is trying not to pay her policy. This is the definition of elder abuse. I write this review in hopes of preventing this from occurring to someone else. Stay away from this company, they will find ways not to pay.

Not only will my family will never use this company again we can’t even mourn properly because of this company. My mom has been talking care of my grandmother since she was 18. But this company is trying to take her money that she paid for. They don’t want to give her the 10% on top of that their trying to keep her money that she paid out for my grandmother. My grandmother passed away and the company didn’t even pay for that. My mom had to come out of pocket to pay for everything. All my mom wants now is just the money she paid out. NEVER AGAIN

Very dissatisfied with Oxford Life’s customer service. I experienced a very long hold time on the phone (over 60 minutes) when seven other companies handled my call within a minute or two. Oxford Life told me that they do not send notifications about RMD amounts. They require customers to call and verbally ask for the RMD amounts. They give the RMD amounts verbally (one for each contract) but nothing in writing. Every other company I deal with sends me an RMD letter for each account. Steve McEvoy
