Refused to deposit cash into my checking account because the three tellers on duty decided that I did not appear to have the ability to earn the amount of cash legally that I was trying to deposit. I looked less than presentable, wearing dirty bib overalls, with a beard, long hair, and a dirty, sweaty hat. After several attempts to get them to accept smaller amounts unsuccessfully, I left and used a different bank. This was to pay my county taxes. The following month, in September, they charged and deducted $40.00 from my account due to my balance falling below the required $1,000.00 balance. I closed the account. Needless to say, I will never return or recommend ACNB.

I have a business checking account with ACNB Bank. I am a Tax Preparer, and when I log in to my account, a TurboTax advertisement is on the ACNB page. All of my clients who have an account with ACNB Bank will be provided with a link and offered a 10% discount to use TurboTax. Obviously, ACNB does not want my business anymore. I have already started the process of moving my business checking to a different bank.

I am writing this review to recognize The ACNB BANK in McSherrystown, Pennsylvania. I have been banking here for close to two decades. Yes, I am a loyal customer. This review is to recognize two outstanding ladies. It is truly an honor to have excellent customer service skills. Kristina and Donna are genuinely wonderful ACNB BANK agents. They are so polite, so caring, and so kind. I hope you will honor both of these exceptional ladies. Thank you, Kristina. Thank you, Donna. Thank you, ACNB BANK, for your incredible service.

I wuld rate 0 if there is the option for it. I am in process of moving my accounts due to their internal policies using Zelle. Each time you add new contact you have to call back and verify your identity and tell them if you know that person. I feel that is none of their business and my business is to get away from them.

If i could pick zero stars, i would. This bank will charge you money even if you have money in the account! In total i have lost close to $400 due to random “convenience fees” even when the bank account was not being used. When i went to close my account - the women who helped me proceeded to make jokes about the amount that was inside of it (I have a joint account with my husband elsewhere and do NOT use this one). people at this bank are very unprofessional and seem to only have two brain cells. I wouldn’t go here.

Their representatives are ignorant and not helpful, they even blocked your online account after misunderstanding your request. They also closed an account without even notifying the reason, it was just gone! Terrible bank, terrible customer service, terrible experience!!!

ACNB has become a fascist entity. How can a bank cash the very same check twice? They refuse to give me my money back. They claim they do not pay electronic checks. Is so why was my money deducted from my account, twice? I must report them to the office created for illegal, self serving actions. I actually loved this bank until they changed the way they do business. Now they are not customer driven. Only fascist self serving. These fascist actions must be reported

I used to LOVE NWSB. Now that ACNB has taken over, it is miserable. They charge $6 for a new bank card. (our split in half after 3 years). You can't pay off your loan online OR thru the call center. You have to go into the branch to pay it off. Never used to be like that. I have been with this bank for 25 years, but I can a switch coming in the near future. It is absolutely ridiculous what you have to go thru.

Custoners social security number, street address, bank acct number, itemized buuing janits are fully discloses to new trainees for two weeks during training. Customers have a right to know this and opt out of being expkoited. Newbtrainess can easily jot down personal info of these customers , quit the job after training, and commit idenrity theft. Dummy models should be created for training. I suggested this amd was ignored. Employees are as dishonest as ever I have worked wirh anywhere. One of them tried to get me to log onto my own accounr while at work which is agaibst rhe rules and illegal because you could add dollar amounts to your account. When I didn't do it, she asked me ro give her my ss number and she would do it. This horrible has worked with ACNB for 4 years. The environment at all 6 branches I floated to was absolutely miserable for most employees. The rest are hanging in there until they can afford to quit or retire. Worst set of employees, trainers, and mgt iI have ever witnessed. They were reported to the appropriate authorities for disclosing customer's private info during training without their knowledge or consent. The teacher literally makes fun if sine if the customers financial situation and a spending habits to the class. Beyond tacky and show of terrible business ethics. Rascist situatiions also reported during class by one of the fellow classmates that was pursuing position as a Specialist with ACNB. Do not seek employment here.

ACNB Bank bought out my bank (New Windsor State Bank renaming it NWSB Bank, A division of ACNB Bank) ACNB bank is nothing but a Joke. Their online banking is a piece of junk compared to what New Windsor Bank had. Apparently, online banking is not current with what the teller system and ATM machine balances are it's a day behind so you never know exactly what's in your account when you sign in online, so what's the purpose of having online banking. I put a loan payment to come out of my checking account and instead it was never processed because the branch was the deposit even though they said you could bank at ACNB Bank branches. Their commercial loan statements or an actual joke, they give no information and they don't give you any peace to keep for your records when mailing the payment it so you have nothing. They never grandfathered any of the New Windsor State Bank accounts regarding balance requirements and service charges. Everything went to ACNB. My commercial loan is being paid off next month and I am closing everything. Are used to love banking with New Windsor State Bank they were a very friendly hometown bank but ACNB Bank ruined that. My advice, stay far away from ACNB Bank. They took a bank that was light years ahead of them systemized and brought them back into the dark ages and dare you tell anybody at ACNB bank that, they get an attitude. You can't even call the branch where your account is without going through an incompetent call center person who basically does not know anything about your account where how to resolve an issue so they have to take a message and then send it to the branch. Now how stupid is that?

Adams County National Bank represents everything that is wrong with banking. First, you should take note of the number of "Vice Presidents" they have working for the bank. There is very likely more Vice Presidents than there are bank tellers, or at the very least the ratio is so completely misaligned that it has bred a culture of corporate needs over branch needs.
The actual services from this bank are sub-par, even compared to some of the local credit unions. For instance if you have a line of credit, you need to call or email asking for a draw against it. The local credit union allows this to be done automatically on the website after logging into your Internet banking. This is one of many examples of why Adams County National Bank is a bad value, as the fees charged for accounts far exceeds the local credit unions and the service is worse on virtually all points that matter.
You will find that you are spending more time trying to conduct banking when you go into an ACNB branch than you are actually banking. I was always told to go with a local bank for better service, and this has proven to be a bad idea when judging it based on my experience with ACNB. If you have to stick with a bank, go with anyone in Adams County other than ACNB.

I have been with ACNB since 2005. The application process for a checking account was simple and easy. You go into the branch, sit down with one of their representatives and go through everything you need to know about setting up a checking account. At first I was a little apprehensive about joining a bank that wasn't a national one, but that isn't the case anymore. The employees are respectful and friendly. When I pull up to the drive through they always greet you by your name and many of the teller's remember who you are. I would definitely recommend this bank for someone who lives in or around South Central Pennsylvania, near Gettysburg.
