AERO Federal Credit Union

I have been with Aero for 8 years and have had two car loans. I sold my car privately and wired more than the payoff by over $50.00. My loan showed that if I paid it off before the due date, it would be the balance of the loan. I was told if I sent the balance directly from my checking account, they would release the title. So, I sent them the money through my bill pay via Chase Bank on a Monday. They received the money on Wednesday, which was $50 over the balance. When I checked the payoff, it was $.54 short because they added interest for a few days. I asked them to take it from our debit card. I was told this would put a 14 business day hold on the account, i.e., 3 weeks, or I could wire the 54 cents to them, in which case they would charge me $10.00 for an incoming wire, as well as my bank also charging me $5.00 for the wire. Aero is in Arizona, and I live in Texas, so there's no way I would drive for 54 cents. I was then told that they only accept payments to release the title if they are wired to their account. Chase informed me the money was transferred and there is no way to stop or return the money since it was wired directly to them. Then I was told by Aero the only way I could get a release of the title was to rewire them another payoff amount directly. The original payoff was over $17,000.00, now they want me to send them another $17,000 to release the title immediately. Aero has accepted my first money as reported on their website.

I will never do business with this place again as they don't care about their customers, only money.
