If you happen to end up owing money to this company, let's just say you were in the wrong company to begin with. Belize and the people at this company are unpleasant. There's a section called 'Member Solution' you wouldn't want to speak to them if you can avoid it. If you can stay ahead of your loan or pay on time, I would suggest you do that to avoid being intimidated. This is not a nice company—horrible interactions I've had with the people there. When you try to speak to people above the ones who are unpleasant to you, you never get the chance, so it feels like you're stuck, and they make sure they let you know they are in control. There is just one lady I speak to all the time; she literally makes me cry. She screams and raises her voice, and makes threats. I am so sick of talking to her; she literally upsets me. I don't know why they're so rude here or why they treat people like this.

Raised my rates to 24.7% for no reason other than everyone else is getting raises. Never had a late payment, always maintained a low balance, and have a great credit score. It's cut up and in the trash.

I wouldn't trust this company. They verified my identity by telling me my Social Security number in full after I explicitly told them moments before that they were on speaker.

The company sends false information and conducts credit checks again, even while the account is open, without permission. They closed the account for non-activity, even though the card was being used. When I called, they admitted it was a mistake but refused to reopen it unless I agreed to another credit check.

If I could leave negative stars, I would. The worst company ever! Do not ever deal with these people if you can help it. They are unhelpful, unavailable, and do not abide by their commitments.

They bought out my previous credit union and I have had nothing but problems. I schedule payments and they stop them even when I have the funds. My utilities were almost turned off because they declined the payment I scheduled. My credit card was locked because they declined the payment I scheduled. My phone bill was late because they declined the payment I scheduled. Now I have lost my monthly phone discount because I can't trust the autopay will go through. They do not even contact you if they have a question about a scheduled payment. I have never been late on bills, and this credit union is ruining my credit.

"Never, ever use Air Academy Credit Union. I went through them for an auto loan and regretted every single interaction since. Their website is chronically buggy, often requiring me to call their support line and ask for assistance, explaining my issue, and on three separate occasions getting a response of "That's so strange. It must be a bug on the website."

They make it deliberately difficult to pay ahead, including several multi-day steps to overly complicate the process. It's deliberately done to discourage users from paying off loans ahead of time.

Additionally, once I paid off my loan, I requested that they remove me from all communications, both concerning my closed accounts and all future marketing. When I received a marketing email, I attempted to unsubscribe, and their website refused to allow it. This is illegal. I called the company to complain, again insisting they remove me from all communications. They assured me this would happen.

Since that time, I've received almost monthly marketing letters, to which I've called and firmly insisted a call representative remove me from the letters. This has happened on three separate occasions. And today, I received another letter.

Stop. Listen to customers. When they do not want your service, stop selling to them.

Stop sending me letters.

It has been a learning experience. I did it to save on monthly payments, however, it’s been more of a hassle then it is worth. I would have been better off rewriting the loan , with my local bank.

Their system showed our loan was successfully payed by my separated husband for SIX MONTHS- they even sent written statements by mail showing the loan balance lowering each month. Now, they’ve suddenly reversed all payments, stating my terrible ex never paid (totally possible) and that my loan is in default. They acted like they’re doing me a favor by skipping just two of those failed payments SIX MONTHS later. I’ve never seen this much incompetency. I set up a payment plan over the phone (and made an immediate payment) and was then ghosted by the employee I spoke with. No responses to emails or calls. She made a verbal agreement to keep my loan out of default via this payment plan and then disappeared when I followed up after receiving additional letters asking me to set up a payment plan. I’m convinced each employee operates independently without any communication. HOW IN THE WORLD DOES IT TAKE SIX MONTHS TO ALERT A CLIENT THAT THEIR PAYMENTS AREN'T BEING PROCESSED PROPERLY!? If you were a loan servicer, wouldn’t you check that you actually received a payment before sending MULTIPLE indications that you were paid in full each month?

I have had a great experience so far with AAFCU they dropped my interest rate to 9.9% from 36% with the other lien holder that I will not mention. My first payment was on 11/04/2022 and my total amount went to principle you can't beat that.

Horrific Experience. They are hard to get a hold of and make it even more difficult to make payments. Want to pay more towards principle they'll make that hard to do as well. Stay away.

My wife has had Progressive insurance for 9 years and added the needed new coverage when she bought her car. Air Academy Federal was set as her financier for her auto loan and added an insane increase in her monthly payment claiming they purchased insurance for her and that she didn’t have any. After getting the proof from Progressive, Air Academy Federal apologized and dropped the charge. The problem is we are now fighting the FOURTH TIME they have re-added the charge after taking it off. They are either scammers or have the worst internal communication of any company ever as they keep claiming they don’t have the proof we previously provided or that they found new info only to drop it after we pressed them. Avoid this sh*t business at all costs.

My husband and I had a car loan thru Air Academy and we traded it into a dealership. Well the dealership was partly at fault for this, but we experienced very poor member service help when it came to working between the dealership and the credit union to get the loan payoff check to right place. We were threatened with letters saying we would be sent to collections because the payments were 2 months behind. This was due to the dealership and possibly mail service not getting the check to the right place or it being lost. But the worst was Air Academy refused to work with us or have any sympathy that the car no longer belonged to us and refused to reach out to the dealership. Very poor customer service and will never use them again! Wouldn’t recommend anybody have a loan with them

Poor customer service to say the least. They were told not to allow charges to go thru my account , to avoid overdraft . Well they didn’t listen, pushed thru a charge, leading to banking fees which they won’t refund. Closed my account but still pretty sucky but I guess they are just like banks and overdraft fees - screw the customer but we hit our money
