After being unable to set up an online payment account and not receiving a paper bill after the first two were sent, I called to just pay the remaining balance of $25,000 on a car loan. They would not accept my payment over the phone. I went to my bank to make a wire transfer with the email ANB sent me for the wire transfer. It would not go through. Worst banking experience in my 55 years. Been with USBANK for 30 years and really appreciate how they do business. I see why ANB of Omaha has such bad reviews.

Do not use this bank for your auto loan. I'm still waiting for my lien release. They refuse to send it. I'm unable to transfer the title to my daughter without it. They are amazingly unhelpful.

This is a dishonest company. I would never do business with them again. We were overcharged. The lady at customer service was unwilling to help.

I have an auto loan with ANB along with my boyfriend. We both have had struggles with our jobs during this global pandemic (him losing his and me getting cut in hours). Along with issues with our home financial struggles kicked in and our finances crashed. ANB has been absolutely terrible working with me on helping keep this loan standing and have been outright rude. Next time we’ll use our small hometown bank who have class and respect when hardships hit the fan rather than a bank who has no morals or respect for when times get tough. Take it from me when I say go somewhere different for your banking needs, you’ll get better service and help if you ever need it.

Very rude customer service. Omaha, Nebraska branch. If I could give zero, I would. She talked to me angrily. Very rude, ill-mannered, impolite, disrespectful, uncivilized, uncultured!

I had the worse experience ever with American National Bank. I called for information on my mortgage, and a lady name Sarah answered my call. After giving her my loan number she said that she could not help me with my concerns at all. I’ve never had problems in the past with ANB regarding questions about my loan etc, however today I am very upset and disappointed in how this lady treated me and in her complete disregard for my concerns. If you can’t give great customer service and do not know how to listen to your customers, then you should not work answering phones or interacting with the public. Sarah acted as if I was bothering her or asking her for a favor. After a few moments on the phone with her, she disconnected our call. It was extremely frustrating speaking with this person. Of course, I had to call back to get my business taken care of but Sarah answered the phone again. I explained to her that I did not want to talk to her at all. (Not that she cared) Today was by far the worst customer service I’ve ever had.

I paid off my car a week ago. They cashed the check. I have not received my title. When I called the woman told me it takes time. I tried to express the importance of getting the title soon by saying I really needed it and the customer service rep hung up on me with no explanation. I didn't scream. All I said was "I need my title now" and she hung up. Rudest customer service ever

I recently opened a auto loan through this company through the car dealership where i purchased my car. I received my payment information packet a week prior to the payment being due, no big deal, however, the website is very hit or miss to set up the automatic payments and when I thought I had finally gotten it figured out it notifies me the payment will not be pulled as the system did not have enough to process the information. So i called today to make the payment to make sure it wasn't late. The representative I spoke to was so rude and belittling. I was shocked. I asked to speak with another rep since my calling in to simply make a payment was to bothersome for her. She says HOLD. She then returns and apologizes and says she'll gladly help. I'm going to assume she was told to do so. I told her to have a good day. Very very very very rude and I will be doing everything I can in this pandemic to refinance through a different bank where they'll appreciate the business and kindness that comes from my family and I.

After filing fraud on my debit card, I was told a new card would be sent to my address in 5 to 7 business days. I waited a month and received nothing. I called customer service and was told that it had been sent out to my house but because I hadn't received it yet they would cancel the card and i could go to an actual bank to get my card. No biggie. I ended up having to go to THREE different banks (I was told their card machine was down) I eventually found an American National Bank about an hour away from me. When i went to get my new card, there were two gentlemen talking to the side about which one was going to help me and which one was "going to get the virus" which I don't think is professional nor something to joke about. After I got my card, I tried using it (twice) online but it wouldn't go through. I called the number on the card to make sure it was activated and it said it was. The following day I tried it at a gas station and still had no luck. Today I called customer service once again to be placed on hold for 20 minutes and sent to the wrong department. No one was able to help me other than telling me to once again go BACK to a bank physically and try using my card there. This isn't the first time i've had issues with this bank but this is definitely the most annoying issue i've had thus far. It's difficult to switch banks because I am a student in college and my grants go to this card every semester, but once this next semester rolls around I will definitely be cancelling this card and will no longer do business with this bank.

I have been a member here since 2010, and boy it’s been a long ride. Their fees constantly change, leading to now: $33 fee per item deducted going against your account. Fair maybe, but they definitely don’t play by their own rules. Then management, they have the same basic 3 ladies in the higher up area, but the tellers are CONSTANTLY changing. I cannot count on 1 hand how many people have been through there. Scary. And the 3 that have been there for years have NO IDEA what they are doing. The entire bank is a joke and I would run if you don’t have money to just give to your bank every week.

I have an automobile loan with ANB and setup my automatic billing about 1 week before the payment was due, which wasn’t enough as it requires at least 10 business days to process. The next month’s payment then was scheduled to come out at the beginning of the following month, which for some unknown reason the transaction failed and nothing was done to notify me about until a week after the late fee was added I received mail stating my account was overdue. Their pay online now feature requires a $10 fee and that’s if you can get the login to work or the loan number to process your account. They may as well delete their website and online features as I have no success finding anything helpful. I will transfer my loan to First National in the morning and never do business with this “business” again.

I have auto pay, which typically comes out on the 31st every month. On the third of January, my payment still hadn't been taken out, so I paid online, and applied it towards "this months payment." They tried taking my auto payment out later that day, and again on the fifth, even though I had already made my payment. This resulted in 2 $30 fines, which they are unwilling to pay back. I was told they have no record of this happening, and that they are not responsible. They are most certainly not "your friend" or "dedicated to customer service" like they claim they are in the recording you listen to when you're on hold on the phone. In addition, they charge you to make your payments by phone or online; the online service is very user unfriendly, and if you want to cancel/set up auto pay they have to mail you a form and you have to send it back to them. Everyone I've spoken to about this issue is unable to give me answers, and all I hear is, "I'll have to talk to someone and call you back." I would never recommend this bank to anyone, nor trust them with any information or money ever again.

I have been banking with American National Bank for nine plus years and I would highly recommend banking with them. The tellers at American National have always been courteous and knowledgeable. They offer a checking account that pays a decent amount of interest during a time when most banks do not offer any interest. I also enjoy their online banking, which comes with free online bill pay. Once a month, I deposit my car payment through online banking and have never had a problem. The only downside about banking with American National is that they are always trying to refer other products to me, which I do not want.
