Awful, awful and awful. Please do not deal with them it’s a total rip off. Then customer service is for the birds. I paid them in full, they never have to worry about getting my business again.

I have received three loans through AWL and I always pay them back in 6 months. They always helped me when noone else would. Thanks AWL!

I applied for a loan on 7/2/22 and it is now 7/8/22, have yet to receive the loan in my bank account and when I go to check it tells me that my loan is closed and paid off. I have not paid it off and I am very confused as to why this has been the case. I am currently sick with COVID and have been trying to get a hold of customer service since 5:30 pm and it is 7:42 pm. This company is a joke and is not worth the 600+% interest rate. DO NOT GET LOANS FROM THIS COMPANY.

This company is so beyond irresponsible. They do not put appropriate people in positions. You can tell the people who work here did not go to college. Any company who hires that level of stupidity, I would never authorize to handle any debt. I had 2 unqualified individuals on the phone who tried to argue with me about how I pointed out that their online portal does not have accurate information. They kept blaming their IT department instead of taking accountability for the mistake. Then they tried to blame me for the call going unproductive. I would say it's those individuals that cause calls to go unproductive because they did absolutely nothing throughout the length of the call except to give me an unimpressed perspective of their company. It only creates a heavier reason for people not to get loans with them. Haha.

We agreed on a payoff amount and I paid it. I took screenshots and have emails that show the loan as paid in full just for safekeeping. Sure enough, a month later I get a message saying my loan is past due. I go on their website and my loan that was once closed is now open again and showing that I owe money. These people are legitimately criminals and you shouldn't borrow from them. I would've chosen zero stars if it was possible.

These people are a rip-off. How can the government allow them to stay in business? They are charges so much more money after paying a loan off. Now they are trying to charge me more money. They are not in business to help people. They have also cause me more stress that ever. They need to be shut down.

I just received a phone call from a representative regarding a document that needs to be mailed to me; That document is supposedly a “court order” claiming I am being sued a huge amount of money. I explained to him, “This is a SCAM & is absolutely false!” He replied, “Default judgment”...(Whatever that is.) How did I get here, because I am aware of the fact that this company is a SCAM. I hope everyone else gets the knowledge here and EXPOSE them IMMEDIATELY before anything bad happens. Please do not get caught in that web!!

Report this company to the CFPB! They didn’t properly disclose my loan details to me at all. Also, after doing some digging, I found out that they actually settled a lawsuit last year and had to cease doing business as AWL and their owner at the time, Mark Curry left and the company’s new CEO is Eric Lau. It’s been “rebranded” as Caliber Financial but it’s the same old company. Also, even though they claim to be based out of Oklahoma on a reservation, they sure do a lot of work in Merriam, KS. Seriously, I think this entire company is a scam and needs to be investigated.

This Company will suck you dry. For instance, I borrowed $1300 in January 28, they said my first payment was Feb. 18. On February 18 I paid $1227 and my balance is still over $500. People no matter how desperate you are DO NOT borrow from these people. You will end up paying 5 times what you borrow. Please be aware.

Read the fine print. I borrowed $1200. I'm paying back $4200! $3000 finance charge! I knew the interest rate would be high. I didn't expect ridiculously high.
American Web Loan does not disclose an overall APR range for its loans, either online or through customer service. According to a representative, it's completely individualized. If you submit an application, you will be told the rate you qualify for and will be able to accept or reject the loan.
