We agreed on a payoff amount and I paid it. I took screenshots and have emails that show the loan as paid in full just for safekeeping. Sure enough, a month later I get a message saying my loan is past due. I go on their website and my loan that was once closed is now open again and showing that I owe money. These people are legitimately criminals and you shouldn't borrow from them. I would've chosen zero stars if it was possible.

These people are a rip-off. How can the government allow them to stay in business? They are charges so much more money after paying a loan off. Now they are trying to charge me more money. They are not in business to help people. They have also cause me more stress that ever. They need to be shut down.

I just received a phone call from a representative regarding a document that needs to be mailed to me; That document is supposedly a “court order” claiming I am being sued a huge amount of money. I explained to him, “This is a SCAM & is absolutely false!” He replied, “Default judgment”...(Whatever that is.) How did I get here, because I am aware of the fact that this company is a SCAM. I hope everyone else gets the knowledge here and EXPOSE them IMMEDIATELY before anything bad happens. Please do not get caught in that web!!

Report this company to the CFPB! They didn’t properly disclose my loan details to me at all. Also, after doing some digging, I found out that they actually settled a lawsuit last year and had to cease doing business as AWL and their owner at the time, Mark Curry left and the company’s new CEO is Eric Lau. It’s been “rebranded” as Caliber Financial but it’s the same old company. Also, even though they claim to be based out of Oklahoma on a reservation, they sure do a lot of work in Merriam, KS. Seriously, I think this entire company is a scam and needs to be investigated.

This Company will suck you dry. For instance, I borrowed $1300 in January 28, they said my first payment was Feb. 18. On February 18 I paid $1227 and my balance is still over $500. People no matter how desperate you are DO NOT borrow from these people. You will end up paying 5 times what you borrow. Please be aware.

Read the fine print. I borrowed $1200. I'm paying back $4200! $3000 finance charge! I knew the interest rate would be high. I didn't expect ridiculously high.

This lender charges an APR of 400% and DO NOT USE-ABUSIVE PROGRAM; prime example of a PREDATORY lender . Even after you payoff the loan, if there is another scheduled payment they will withdraw it from your account. ABUSIVE LENDER that violates the usury laws.

Who helps me to obtain promotional codes or guests to apply for a loan and make it easier for me, they informed me that this option is more feasible than normal and that they give us discounts

Try Lending Tree instead! AWL are CROOKS! I borrowed 2500 and paid 160 per week for around two months. I paid it off (From their payoff page) and they STILL took another weekly payment out. WAYYYYYYYY too high interest rate. I just got a MUCH better deal from Lending Club (Maybe Lending Tree?) and it is what I used to get rid of that AWL loan. I would avoid at all cost!!!!!!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS "COMPANY!!!" THEY'RE HIGHWAY ROBBERY AND THE LADY I TALKED TO WAS SO RUDE. THEY'LL NEVER, EVER GET MY BUSINESS!!!!
American Web Loan does not disclose an overall APR range for its loans, either online or through customer service. According to a representative, it's completely individualized. If you submit an application, you will be told the rate you qualify for and will be able to accept or reject the loan.
