AZFCU is by far, the worst bank I have ever used! I deposited two final checks from an employer from another state. The company put a stop payment on one check without telling me & AZFCU took the entire amount of that check out of my savings account, even though I did not spend one penny of it! I do not trust the bank manager at all! They are unethical & oh yes, they also debited $20 for an od fee. Do not bank here!

I've been with AZFCU for 10 years and have only ever had great experiences with them. Their customer service phone number is easy to use and I usually get a representative pretty quickly. I've had checking, savings, credit card, car loan, and youth accounts with them. The only downside is that branches aren't open late or on weekends. But if you prefer to be 100% digital most of the time, they're great. They also partner with other credit unions, which was very helpful when I moved to a new location. The car-buying service is also a wonderful benefit.

I have been with AZ Financial Credit Union since approximately 2012, and I have never had a problem. I am very happy with this bank and all they have to offer, and I will remain with them indefinitely. Thank you, AZ Financial Credit Union, for your service. If I could give more stars, I would across the board, and not just for checking.

I was thrilled to get a great refinancing rate with AZFCU, but the experience since then has been disappointing. Payments can only be made with a check or transferring from an AZFCU checking account, which feels very outdated and inconvenient. I don't want to have a checking account with them, and I have to purchase checkbooks just because of them. Their hours of operation are also extremely limited, and they're closed on weekends—making it impossible to take care of things like trading in my car on days off. To make matters worse, you can't request a 10-day payoff quote online or through their app. This impacted a car trade-in I was working on over a weekend and significantly delayed that. While the refinance deal itself was excellent, AZFCU's technology and accessibility are far behind the times, and it makes simple tasks unnecessarily frustrating.

AVOID AZ FinancialCredit Union! TERRIBLE customer service. I waited on hold for over 60 min. Never resolved problem, they’re unhelpful, don’t care, and no follow through. Worst service I’ve ever experienced in 59 years - HORRIBLE!!!

On my account, a $30.00 overdraft at AZFCU turned into a $485.00 payment to AZFCU. My overdraft limit is $300.00. Why can AZFCU go over my limit to pay them? There was no notification, and they just let my payment keep adding up. I'm on a budget, so why can they do this? I get notifications or calls for everything else, but none for payments to AZFCU. Who has an answer?
I'm getting quite fed up with AZFCU's service! I attempt to make a payment on two separate websites, with two separate cards; I enter the OTP that is sent via email, and both cards keep declining.
This has already happened before and I had to call twice to speak with someone to "release" the payment. I shouldn't need to do this for the same websites again and again. Very poor service.

This used to be a very cohesive Credit Union... not anymore. We have been with this CU for three decades, and it's only getting worse. They are not on top of banking fraud or customer issues and do not have the diligence to research and solve issues. Not many there know how banking works, and customer issues are not being addressed properly. We are taking all of our accounts and transferring them to another Credit Union that has better customer support and communication, where peace of mind is meaningful to customers and their money.

The Gilbert location of Arizona Financial Credit Union at Elliot and Val Vista is wonderful. All the employees are professional, polite, very friendly, and helpful. I give kudos to Olivia and Fernando Z. I feel safe with my money in the credit union versus banks. I am grateful for the safety they provide.

I like this bank with a few exceptions. Technology is a major issue. Every time I try to link with Plaid, I have issues with my credentials. So I try to reset, and the temporary passwords never work, leading me to wait for a 'specialist' to contact me the next business day during business hours and hope I can catch the phone call, let alone be near my computer because it has to be done on a web browser, not on my phone. I'm honestly done. I'm starting a business that has the potential to make millions. Why on Earth would I take that business to them when they can't even handle password resets correctly?

They don't like to give a credit card to those on social security. I have a credit rating of 809 and was denied one because they asked how I would pay it back. I went to another bank and they were all too happy to give me one. AZ Financial seems discriminatory and makes you feel like a thief. No one is going to steal your money, Arizona Financial. Glad I didn't go with these unpleasant people. I read the reviews.

Had my credit/debit card hacked. $3,800.00 in fraudulent charges. Canceled card and reported the fraud. I live in AZ; fraud occurred in Florida and NJ. They refused to track what was bought or where it was shipped and also refused to reimburse the charges, saying it was my fault. I have never used a payment app.

Update>> Got a call today from AFCU about my case / review. They continue to say its not there fault and requested all my text and emails at the time the fraud happened? I informed them I had none and why didn't they trace what was purchased and where it was shipped to? They informed me they already knew and stated they knew I did not due this. If they know all this why refuse to reimburse the fraud charges?

I went to the Deer Valley branch today to get some answers about my account. This was taken care of very quickly and professionally by Zaira. She also looked into where I had my money invested and transitioned me to a high-yield savings account. She was personable and a pleasure to work with.
