Always locking my card after business hours, with no way to contact them! No way to do business! They claim to have an understanding of military needs, but that is far from the truth. When I travel abroad, they always lock the card, declining purchases and locking the card on the weekend with absolutely no way to contact them. I'm done with this bank after more than 18 years.

Wish I could give these clowns zero stars. Saw the same misleading statements I experienced about Armed Forces Bank not selling your loan in the very first review i saw when logging on the say the very same thing and how poor my refinance experience was with these individuals. Completely disorganized processing and preparation staff caused us to pay a rate extension fee because they lost documents we had already provided, could not specify for over a week what was needed in our water test, and used a disreputable title company who hired a notary who had never done a refinance or home loan and didn't even know she needed to print legal documents on... wait for it... legal-sized versus letter-sized paper. Ignore these con artists pretending to be "looking out for veterans" while rationalizing all the crap they pull or “forget to mention.”They are just another group of leeches preying on and deceiving veterans.

Wow, what a way to take advantage of you! They spoke to us as though they were going to maintain and service our loan, but less than three weeks after closing, they sold it to a company embroiled in lawsuits for unfairly handling homeowners by not applying their payments to their loans and adding "insurance" without permission. Armed Forces is no better than the other subpar banks. I recommend going with a credit union.

Terrible bank with terrible customer service. Treated me and my spouse like criminals after obtaining all of our personal information, such as mother's maiden names, social security numbers, places of employment, vehicles driven, address, and driver's licenses, then declined us the ability to open an account. Is this how you repay people who served their country? If you are reading this, go to Navy Federal Credit Union. It's a much better bank with much better customer service!

I'm definitely quitting this bank. I have overdraft fees racking up. If you see I'm in the negative, why keep adding more fees? Do not bank with them, please save yourself. They don't even deserve the one-star rating I had to put to post this comment.

I been a customer since 2008 ans to see the service go down the drain it sucks. Used to have 24/7 customer service nope selected hours. My account got hacked ans no one to aid me. Had to transfer money to another account and cut the card completely off. Sad to had to go through all this and on a Holiday. What if a person didn't have another means to access their money, what if it was an emergency, what if they were out out of town ko way to do anything better. The express used to be pay 50 to get a new card overnight now that's 3 to 7 Business days. Without paying its 7 to 10. Now havw to wait till they are open and the finds will b3 posted to do a dispute when the money I get is for bills. 13 transactions in 1 day and that didn't raise a flag. Completely ruined my 4th. Can't wait to finally walk away from this bank. Truly don't make it about the customers. That's the saddest part. ? I have to jump through 5he hoops and wait for a card and the money to be replaced. Where was my protection and my security? Not none. Change the policy's to cater to the customers. Hire online work from home support so it's 24/7 access. People want assurance and to feel valued with a bank not like some back alley throwed away cat. ? 15 years and I am more saddened by how things havw chnaged. Let's see if thry will treat me better to grt my money back and me a rush car cause in a few days I am leaving town.

I really liked the bank and loan officer I used about 5 years ago for our VA mortgage so I looked up the loan officer again and found out that their bank had been bought by Armed Forces Bank. We were at closing for 5 hours waiting for the lender to send the closing documents. That was completely unacceptable. We will definitely not be back or recommend them anymore.

This has to be one of the worst banks I’ve ever banked with. I’ve been banking with them for over a year and they are absolute dog water. Their support system is absolutely terrible, their inconvenient operation hours absolutely ruin your plans if they decide to fraud out a charge on the weekday, then close leading into the weekends. They absolutely don’t give a damn about you not being able to access your money and overall shouldn’t be banked. I absolutely regret banking with them and will be quitting this trashy bank as soon as possible.

Horrid banking experience. Double charged me on a $6,000 charge so my account ended up overdrawn by $6,000 for a whole week. I haven’t been able to eat all week because any money I had in my account was taken and overdraft. I call the bank and they don’t give a crap. For something entirely their fault it’s absolutely disgusting that the customer has to suffer for it. I’ll never use this bank again, I’d rather just put my money under the mattress and lose it.

Never has actual people to help with problems. Fraud department takes almost a full year to investigate and conclude suspected charges. Fraud department also freezes my card for normal local transactions. Online account takes weeks for transactions to go from pending to taken care of. Worst bank I have ever dealt with in my life.

I live about 90 minutes drive time from the nearest Armed Forces Bank (AFB). I use my ATM card and online banking exclusively, so when my ATM card was compromised recently and had to be replaced, I elected to take the steps needed to perform External Transfers from my AFB account to my local bank close to home. For reasons still unknown to me, this seemingly simple process turned into anything but! Over a period of nine business days I lost count of the hours spent on the phone with various AFB personnel trying to initiate a successful External Transfer between my selected accounts. I was totally frustrated and had decided I would make one more attempt before changing banks altogether when I had the good fortune of reaching "Lynn" at Ft Bliss through an online chat session. She worked with me online, then over the phone. When we would hit a wall, yet again in the application, she would place me on hold and go in search of an answer, instead of giving me the shoulder shrug I had received so many times before. Over the course of the next 72 hours she became the squeaky wheel behind the scenes at AFB sending emails and demanding answers where none had been provided before. She returned calls when she said she would and assured me my problem would be solved. She was right! This morning I had a email from "Nicole" with the Universal Banking Center. For the first time in this mess, I was presented with simple, detailed instructions, that when completed, I was able to complete External Transfers as easily as advertised. Rest assured, without Lynn's persistence in obtaining a resolution to my problem, I would be banking elsewhere and only to happy to tell anyone I ran into why! I want AFB Management to realize what an asset Lynn truly is. In every conversation she was professional, polite, and articulate. She demonstrated a sense of humor over the various obstacles, without degrading others or the reputation of AFB. I am retired after serving almost 30 years in the US Navy. I spent years assisting hundreds of troops with their career paths, I believe Lynn to have demonstrated the qualities any command should be honored to have amongst their employees. My most sincere thanks Lynn! P.L. Roach

This is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. 1 - Their app is clunky and crashes half the time. Their chat feature is horrible. 2- I can’t tell you how many times it blocks me when I’m trying to do something, and I have to call to unlock my account. 3- I’ve transferred money only to have it never show up or have to do so all over again. 4- Their customer service is subpar. 5- Trying to do anything with them is always a huge inconvenience! 6- They just finally now added Apple Pay in 2021…way behind the times! 7- Finally, I ordered checks in November. Never received them, never heard from the bank on it. Suddenly in December I’m getting notices the bank sent me to collections. They never once contacted me! Fed up and closing my account.
