Everything is so computer-handled that the rules are no longer consistent. The landlord loses a check and cashes it three years later, and that's acceptable, but Grandpa writes the wrong year on a check, and it's too old to cash. Originally, I was told by an employee that there was no expiration date on a check unless I was to write "void" after so many days on it. And they will certainly cash a check with no signature on it and one dated before the supposed issue date. It's sad.

Auto loans can be obtained remotely at a dealership. Once the loan is processed, everything else is a hassle to do remotely. I have never set foot in the building, but I could not set up online banking over the phone or online. My auto loan had an overpayment when I was paying it off, and instead of sending it to me in check form, they placed it in the savings account opened with the auto loan and will not let me close it over the phone.
Being military, I have always done remote banking with many moves and updates. I am even a member of a credit union in my hometown, 800 miles away, and have zero issues, so it's not that I don't understand online banking.

I have been an Arsenal Credit Union member in Arnold since they opened and have not had to much trouble until now. They double paid the same bill and now I have to jump through hoops to get the money put back into my checking account. They make me feel like it is my fault and are not at all helpful. You can plainly see on the statement because they are back to back. They are the ones that made the mistake and they should be the ones that can correct it. I think maybe it is time to find a new place to bank

The double-billing was done by the merchant, rather than us. Like all financial institutions, in order to keep your card and accounts safe from errors like this, we require you to fill and sign an authorization form to make sure this merchant mistake gets corrected.

Do NOT come here if you are trying to rebuild. I have a car loan with them and had a few personal loans. Everything was fine. Pandemic related issues required me to file for Bankruptcy. Still paying on the car, charged off the other loans.
Moved out of state to go to grad school to try and better my situation. While here, I discovered that they will not allow me to pay my bill online because of the bankruptcy nor will they allow me to pay over the phone. On top of this, I cannot refinance the vehicle because they will not let creditors know that I am still making payments since the account was under the protection of the bankruptcy even though I am still making payments. Nor will they allow a refi within their institution. Nor will they allow a transfer into a new account that creditors will see.
Basically, if you are a person that has fallen on hard times and trying to turn your life around, the people at Arsenal Credit Union will not support you.

Don’t get a car loan through Arsenal you can’t make a payment online or by phone unless you have an account with them. They just want to make you have a late payment so they can collect there late fees. What a rip-off I’m refinancing ASAP

Jayfortner, you do have an account with us. As with all credit unions, in order to have a loan or do any other type of business with one, membership needs to be established first, and this is done by opening a savings account with a minimum deposit. At Arsenal, the amount is just $5. A savings account at Arsenal was opened for you, funded by the credit union, at the dealership where you purchased your vehicle and got on-the-spot financing from us at a great rate and term.

I have had an Arsenal Credit Union checking account several years now and it has been quite a great experience. I not only have basic checking but a business checking account as well. It's hassle free! The online banking makes conducting transactions a great deal easier. They offer overdraft protection up to $500, which is a great tool if you overspend in error. I also enjoy the POP money feature which allows you send money virtually in a few days! I enjoy being a member of the Arsenal family!

I have been with Arsenal Credit Union for about 7 years now. I have a both a personal savings and checking account. I recently opened up a Business account for my new small business. The Arsenal Credit Union made this task as less tedious as possible. At first I dreaded the whole start up business idea but with the help and expertise of the experienced folks at Arsenal, it has certainly been a breeze!

I've been a member of Arsenal Credit Union for a few years, and I do the majority of my financial business through them, both personal banking and the accounts for my small business; a small business I run thanks to Arsenal Credit Union. I originally joined in the hopes of acquiring a loan with which I started my business, though not with much hope. The loan officer was very kind and very thorough in helping me explore my options. I ended up with a bit less than I wanted, but I was able to make up the difference and it was an invaluable help. It's not wrong to say that I owe a considerable amount of my happiness to them because it is thanks to Arsenal CU that I am doing what I love doing today, and am my own boss.
