I've had a great experience with Joy Dailey. She answered my fifty million questions and was so thoughtful and caring throughout the process. She kept me informed every step of the loan process.

Posted April 1st, 2024 I had a problem, and I worked with Jessica Trantham from the Arvest mortgage care team. She was outstanding and listened to my concerns. She is trustworthy, honorable, and personable. When Jessica says she is going to do something, she sticks to her word. She had my problem taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. When she tells you she is going to call, she keeps her word. This is my second mortgage with Arvest. I would highly recommend Arvest if you are looking for a mortgage for your home. I have worked with Missy, Sarah, and Renee at one of their branches in Russellville, Arkansas, as well. All three of them did an outstanding job for me with my first mortgage and for my second one for my Arkansas home. All four are the best of the best with Arvest Bank. God Bless, Mike Strep.

Can’t stand Arvest Bank Mortgage I had them for 3 years. Said I overplayed and I would be receiving a check for $500 for my overpayment after I closed on my house. Called them to ask them because it’s been 3 weeks and no word about the check, they had the correct address change and everything.they tell me call back in a couple days because July 4th was a holiday and it could be running late. Call back today all of a sudden I’m only getting $15.94 because there was “negative”escrow that I was no made aware of. Has to be the God most awful company to work with.

The website is terrible! I tried logging in numerous times to make a payment and the system was down. After a few attempts to log in, I finally forgot that I hadn't scheduled a payment for the month. I never received a single phone call or letter letting me know my payment was late. I only found out I was late when I tried to make a payment for the next month! This is the worst customer service I have ever had from any creditor - they couldn't care less about their customers.

Illegally foreclosed on my home while I awaited to be told me new amount after loan mod. A man showed up saying he bought my home. Thankfully it was rescinded after paying $8,000+ in legal fees will be suing. Don’t trust them they don’t deserve 1 star, the lady wouldn’t even tell me her name n all emails disappear after 1-3 days, shady.

After two decades in the rental property business, I have never run into a company with more red tape than Arvest. They make you jump through hoops to co-sign an insurance payment check; much worse than any other mortgage company, including the notorious Wells Fargo. I've gone over two months trying to get my insurance payment, which was made out to both Arvest and myself. Sadly, you cannot simply choose not to do business with them; if they purchase your mortgage, you are stuck with these monstrous martinets.

Arrest Central Mortgage refused to allow me to pay my own property taxes. They accused me of being late with a payment during the time period that Arvest was responsible for paying my taxes . Then they sent a letter accusing me of being late on paying a tax bill before I owned the property or owned any property. I sent proof to the county and to Arvest, then the county statement. ACM sent nothing then they sent a second letter accusing me of not sending proof. There is no conceivable way to pay a bill that was paid by previous owner. ACM is the most incompetent company with no customer service and has caused years of stress.

We have now gone two months without receiving a payment coupon book, or a monthly payment statement from Arvest Mortgage. How is this possible? It seems utterly irresponsible for a mortgage company to suddenly stop sending coupon books, or any kind of paper statement to customers without prior notice. The company finally sent a letter to us in mid-February, stating they would no longer provide a coupon book, and to call if we needed to receive a monthly payment statement. We called the next morning, and requested monthly statements. We are still waiting to receive the requested payment statement. Never mind the fact that we had no communication from Arvest in January regarding our monthly mortgage payment, leaving us to call the company in order to make a payment on our account. I understand that some folks may prefer paying their bills online (or via phone), but customers should have a choice as to how they would like to receive their monthly mortgage payment statements -- and a choice regarding the method they would like to use to pay said mortgage (i.e., the ability to pay using a traditional paper check, not an electronic payment). I tried calling the "customer service" department at Arvest to request (again) a monthly payment statement . . . the phone representative was agitated (verging on rude), which prompted this review.

Efficient, but zero personal contact in 10+ years. When our mortgage was bought by Arvest, no one called and no one has since. Loan was just paid off today.

Horrible company - they are incompetent! The failed to pay my home owners insurance policy and my insurance was cancelled. They claim they mailed the check 1 month early to Farm Bureau Insurance and it was never received. We called them several times and they just keep handing us off to other representatives. We've called them at least 5 times and now paid our insurance company ourselves to reactivate the home owners policy because Arvest isn't responding. We will file a claim with the BBB today and report these idiots, they shouldn't be in business.

I am having such a problem with this mortgage company. I did not choose them, I was with Cenlar for 6 years and Arvest took over my mortgage last year. I changed insurance companies this year, Reducing my annual fee by over $1200. Everything else has stayed pretty constant, my mortgage, the interest on that, my taxes etc. Now, one might expect my monthly payment to drop $100 a month or so following that, or at least remain constant. No, it was increased in September by $800 a month (25% increase). I did get a call from somebody at Arvest a few weeks ago, who didn’t seem to understand the first thing about mortgages or Escrow. I have just written to them again, explaining that they will have about $18,000 over to pay a $9,000 insurance premium at this rate. I’m not convinced they shall be capable of understanding it. Not sure what to do next. I shall of course swap mortgage companies as soon as I can.

I wish I could give a lower rating, but that’s not possible. Arvest is the most greedy, unethical, and dishonest company in America. I won’t go into specifics here, but suffice it to say I will be losing my home because of this company’s refusal to help someone who lost 20% of her income due to Covid cutbacks. I tried 3 different ways to make my payment, only to have Arvest tell me they would only accept the payment a certain way. I even tried to overnight them a check only to find out it costs $73 to do this. I had a mere 20 bucks to buy food for my family for the next 10 days. Arvest even refused to grant me an extension of what would realistically amount to one day. They would not even accept a debit card from a friend who tried to help me at the last minute. I know it’s because they are too cheap to pay the card processing fees.
I have never wished anyone ill, but I really hope the people who run this mortgage company find out, one day, what it’s like to have to choose between keeping their home or feeding their hungry babies. I can say NOTHING good about anyone associated with Arvest.

I do not believe this is an actual, true, human created review. It's much more likely this was a bot used by Arvest in an attempt to improve their dismal reviews. Arvest's customer service is all but non-existant.
