I was trying to help a homeless person trying to get back on their feet and checking credit and such but the girl who answered the phone did not want to give me information even though I had its information.. not even who the original creditor was and then whenever I told her that it was sent to a charity program from a certain hospital she did not want to hear it nor fix it

I called because I received a debt letter and needed more information about its origin, as it is completely inaccurate. The person on the phone said, "Well, if it's in my office, it's because you have a debt. Contact your insurance, and then contact me." Why do I have to do your job? You're there to assist customers, not to take advantage of them. I am 100% sure this debt is not mine, and I shouldn't be held responsible just because you want to profit.

This company is attempting to collect 5 years after this ambulance charge was incurred. As it is a charge for medical care, it should never have been put on a credit report. In addition, the ambulance company being collected for was asked over and over in 2017 to file with insurance and they never did. Eventually they told me to not worry about paying. That was 4 years ago! Now, 4 years later they want it collected? That insurance has been inactive for 5 years. I’m not going to pay this freaking bill when they didn’t care enough to do what was required to get all but my copay of $75 over 4 years ago!

I was widowed with two toddlers, lost my job due to a surgery going very wrong almost killing me and caused perm disability. They refused to work with me on payments, obviously I’m out of work. My husband had no will, we lost EVERYTHING. Our home, cars, security. He had debts I had NO CLUE about and I had to pay the IRS $10,000 for his mistakes with his personal business he started I had ZERO to do with.

So extremely rude and unprofessional everytime they started calling me, I thought they were scam calls, and eventually reported the number to be blocked on my phone. I realized they were a legit company when they showed up on my credit report, but for a medical charge that should never have been sent to collections, since my insurance covered everything. When asking for more information regarding the client who sent me to collections, they could not provide me with any contact info to inquire. I looked up the client name showing up on my report myself and called them, and they tell me all of my medical bills have been paid, and have no record showing I was sent to collections. I called Avante telling them this, and they blame it on a different creditor who originally sent them the account, and claim they can't do anything about it. Yet... years later, this is all still on my credit report, lowering my score significantly, and has been sent to a new creditor, who is trying to get me to settle... on a bill that was already paid! I can't figure out how to remove it. Finally reached out to Transworld, and hopefully will get somewhere.

Not accurate. Not my purchase. i have been a victum of Idenity theft and fraud. i have reported several items or accounts on my credit as well as wrong information, but have yet to get any results in addressing these matters.

They really don't deserve any stars..Had to give 1 star just to give them a bad rating. This company sends collections to your credit reporting agency without contacting you. So when you see the delinquent account you have no idea what its for. Its all about greed and they are greedy varmints.

I have not been hassled or contacted over and over again as I would expect. This is a medical bill I was assured my insurance would cover and of course I get stuck with a bill I can absolutely not pay. The system is not fair for people who actually PAY for insurance. But avante has been cordial and accommodating
