We applied for an Equity Loan with Campus in April. We only wanted a fraction of our total equity. They got all our financial info and we filled out the on line application (which by the way was beautifully designed and a piece of cake to work with) early. After waiting until mid August we got a call saying we did not have the monthly income for the amount requested and reduced the amount we could get by $10 grand. They used net amounts from our social security and pension income, which I never heard of any other bank or credit union doing. Needless to say we said "Thanks, but no thanks". Four months wasted when we could have been working with other institutions. We had dealt with them several years ago and they were great--don't know what happened.
It's sad that customer service and quality are no longer priorities at banks anymore!

I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS BANK TO ANYONE FOR ANY TYPE OF BUSINESS. I HAVE A CAR LOAN THROUGH CAMPUS AND IT HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT A NIGHTMARE DEALING WITH THEM. MY PAYMENT'S ARE DIRECTLY TAKEN OUT OF MY ACCOUNT EVERY FRIDAY AND ARE TOTALLY CURRENT AND I'VE BEEN WITH THEM FOR A FEW YEARS NOW, WELL RECENTLY MY CAR WAS TAKEN OF WHICH WAS NO FAULT OF MINE AND THE BANK VERIFIED THAT, BUT YET I HAVE TO PAY THEM TO RELEASE MY CAR. NO ONE THERE EVEN TRIED TO HELP ME OR THE SITUATION WHICH AGAIN WAS NO FAULT OF MINE AT ALL SO IN ORDER TO GET MY CAR BACK IT WAS PAY OR NOTHING. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVERY AND FOR A BANK THAT'S PATHETIC AND JUST WRONG!! IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. :((((( IT COMPLETELY DISGUST'S ME TO GO IN THERE, TALK TO ANYONE OR EVEN HAVING THEM PERIOD. DEFINITELY THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING WITH THIS BANK.

HORRIBLE mobile deposit service. Will not accept a check over $1500. NO EXCEPTIONS. REALLY?? How can the average person possible bank this way?? Other banks and credit unions accept up to $10,000 per deposit/$25,000 for the day. WORST of all was the way I found out. I mobile deposited a check for $1526.83 and got a confirmation number. Then 3 weeks later I was looking at my account and noticed the deposit was not in there. Checked and it had been rejected AFTER the fact AND I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED. When I called they didn't know why I had not been notified and were 'sorry'. Talked to 6 different people and heard - Didn't know why it was rejected, Didn't know why I was not notified, Was a bad photo (how was it accepted at first?) Was over the amount (by $27 dollars and again why was it accepted at first?). Additionally, the photo process often fails and knocks you out of the program so you have to start over. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CREDIT UNION FOR SERVICE OR MOBILE DEPOSIT POLICY
I have had no problems with this credit union! It was so easy to sign up with and the staff is always friendly and kind! The only downside is it take a while for acitivity to show up, but that is actually my only complain. This bank really seems to care about there customers. I have overdrawn my account once, and I didn't have a protection fee, and I didn't have the funds bring what originally overdrafted my account to current, however they still reversed my overdraft fee.
Overall, Campus USA Credit union provides excellent services for checking and saving accounts. The one thing that I like about this credit union compared to some banks is there are no hidden fees and they are not changing their policy every few months as what I have expereinced with other banks. The only issue that I have ran into with Campus USA is the use of my debit card and deposits of checks. Many times I am using my debit card after their normal business hours which means if there is any issues with the card, I have to wait tell the next day or due to my work schedule several days. This creates a large inconvince in that my solo source of access to funds is through my debit card. There has been some issues where I have called to resolve this issue and no one was available which I find unacceptable in today's 24/7 society. That is the only change I would like to see at the credit union.
I have been a member of Campus USA's credit union for roughly 3 years. I opened up my account promptly after moving to the nearby college campus. They offer excellent rates for car loans, which was one of the main reasons I opened up an account here. I paid off my loans in a few years time which wasn't an incredible burden as their APR rates are highly generous. Furthermore, Campus USA's customer service is excellent; I've never had any problems whenever I had concerns, and they quickly and effectively managed any concerns that I did have. If you're in the Gainesville area or Alachua county (Florida) then I would highly recommend you check out Campus USA.
I had an account with CAMPUS USA Credit Union a few years ago before I moved away from the area. Although I only had a checking and savings account with them so I cannot comment on loans, I have nothing bad to say about this credit union. They are in a convenient location that is easy to find. The employees are always cheerful and ready to help in any way they can. They were always able to quickly answer any questions or concerns that I had with no trouble. This is one of those locations with a small town feel, where everyone knows your name and has a smile and asks how you are when they see you. I think it's a great credit union with a good attitude and hopefully they don't change.
I have been a member of Campus USA credit union for 10 years. When my husband and I got married, we added a joint account to our two smaller accounts. In the years that we have been with them, I have only good things to say. The few times that I have had to use the fraud prevention feature on my account, the bank has responded immediately to my concerns. We have a very convenient banking center near my home, and they know me by sight and name. The employees always have a smile on their face, and they always have a superhero sticker for my son.
